Issues 2 to 4 are dedicated to a specific geographical region (China, Islamic world, Japan, South Asia and Central Asia). These regions are covered in a fixed order which comprises several volumes. For each region there is a regional editorial board. Issue 1 of each year is dedicated to ‘Asia in general’ or — as a special issue — to particular purposes. In the first issue of each year there is a table of contents of the whole volume of the previous year.
