New York, April 11th 2016 New York-based academic publisher Peter Lang Publishing Inc. has appointed
Dr. Farideh Koohi-Kamali
Senior Vice President of the company, effective immediately. She replaces Christopher Myers who has left the company after over 25 years of service as Managing Director and
Education Editor.

Having started her publishing career at Routledge, Koohi-Kamali spent the last 14 years at Palgrave Macmillan as editorial director of the US Academic Program and publisher of the Global Outreach Program. She was responsible for editorial growth and expansion in emerging markets and has managed major strategy and market development across a wide portfolio of products. She has a M.Phil. and D.Phil. in Politics from Oxford University and is Adjunct Professor of Middle Eastern Studies at New School University.

At Peter Lang USA, Koohi-Kamali will develop and expand the company’s editorial and market coverage in North and Latin America, as well as in other emerging markets, and she will be responsible for improving the company’s strategy to focus on business development.

Mme Laurence Pagacz, Ph.D., a été nommée en date du 1er avril 2016 directrice éditoriale de la maison d’édition scientifique internationale P.I.E. Peter Lang SA (Bruxelles). Elle prend la succession d’Emilie Menz qui a quitté la société pour s’engager dans d’autres projets, en dehors du monde de l’édition.

Laurence Pagacz est co-directrice de la page consacrée à l’auteur mexicain Homero Aridjis auprès de la Fundación Biblioteca Virtual Miguel de Cervantes (Espagne). Elle a travaillé plus de six ans comme chercheuse et assistante d’enseignement à l’UCL (Université catholique de Louvain, Belgique). Elle possède un M.A. en langues et littératures romanes et un M.C. en pédagogie de l’enseignement supérieur, ainsi qu’un doctorat en langues et lettres de l’UCL. Elle parle couramment le français, l’espagnol et l’anglais.

Chez Peter Lang Bruxelles, Laurence Pagacz sera chargée de la stratégie éditoriale et de l’expansion dans les régions francophones, poursuivant ainsi la mission de Peter Lang de diffuser également la recherche non anglophone dans le monde entier. Ses responsabilités comprennent toute l’activité éditoriale et commerciale de la société.
