Introduction

The principal aim of «Compar(a)ison» is to promote the theory of comparative literature and the development of new directions in comparative studies. Rather than seeking a normative concept of comparative literature, COMPAR(A)ISON provides a forum in which different approaches can be elaborated and, ideally, interact.
«Compar(a)ison» is a semi-annual journal alternating regular and special issues.

La revue «Compar(a)ison» se propose de promouvoir la réflexion sur la littérature comparée et de tracer de nouveaux chemins dans les études comparatistes. Aux conceptions normatives elle préfère la diversité des approches et leur interaction.
«Compar(a)ison» paraît deux fois l'an, offrant régulièrement des cahiers thématiques.

Die Zeitschrift für Vergleichende Literaturwissenschaft «Compar(a)ison» hat sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, die theoretische Reflexion innerhalb der Komparatistik zu fördern und neue Wege des Komparatismus vorzustellen. «Compar(a)ison» erscheint zweimal jährlich, wobei ein Heft in der Regel einem thematischen Schwerpunkt gewidmet ist.
