Series Detail
Information about the series
This series, based on a multi-perspective conception of narration, welcomes multidisciplinary approaches which study the transmedial and transcultural transpositions that frame Italian cultural memory and identity. Multimediality can be intended as the combination of narrative forms that testify of various ways of interpreting culture, such as prose, poetry, opera libretto’s, theatre, film scripts, weblogs, and comic books. But multimediality focuses mainly on the interactions between audiovisual and textual cultures, which result in hybrid intermedial expressions.
Combining the interaction between media and communities with the interpretation of the esthetic values they represent, the series will not only contribute to the scholarly reflection on artistic modes, it also addresses the wider audience interested in the ways culture can define new existential meanings.
The editorial board accepts essays in Italian, English, French, and German.
