N2  - The contributions brought together in this landmark edited collection focus on Cyrillic manuscripts and early printed editions from around 900 to 1800. They address a wide variety of topics that have not received sufficient attention in Western scholarship, including material, visual, and textual aspects. Collectively, the authors discuss scribal practices and multilingual manuscripts; visual exegesis; paleography; codicology and online databases; migration of manuscripts; fragmentology and digital reconstruction; and machine learning approaches, HTR models for transcriptions, and multi-spectral macrophotography. The project was initiated by the Balkan History Association and represents the work of twenty-one scholars from eight different countries.
