The volume demonstrates neighbourhood as a space of linkage-based management of commons. It argues that India’s neighbourhood diplomacy since 2014 is marked by an eagerness to mend fences with immediate neighbours and to build strategic partnerships with far away extra regional powers redefined as distant neighbours epitomized in Neighbourhood First policy. In the neighbourhood dynamics of the post-2014 period, India’s position has become mature, futuristic and innovative, celebrating the ancient Indian philosophy of oneness with the outside world (diplomacy) and oneness with self (atmnanirbhar/self-reliant), led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. %K India, Neighbourhood, Diplomacy, Narendra Modi, South Asia, CentralAsia, South-east Asia, Management, Regional, Commons, Cricket, Culture, Artificial Intelligence, Indo-Pacific, Democracy, BIMSTEC, Ganga-Mekong, Bangladesh, Operation Sindoor, Raj Kumar Kothari, Pratip Chattopadhyay %G English
