%X Emotions and the linguistic representation of emotions across languages were explored from a psychological perspective. A comparison was made between languages such as English and French, which tend to use nouns and adjectives for emotional expression, and languages like Chinese, which prefer verbs. The meaning and scope of emotional terms vary across languages, and even within different regions of the same country, reflecting cultural influences on language structure. It is important to study emotional expression in a cross-cultural context to gain a better understanding of the interaction between language and culture.
