%X This is a well-appointed magisterial study that is breathtaking in scope, rigorous in its extensive research, a mighty volume that must surely be received as the tour de force standard. It is impressive in almost every respect; a reflection of the author’s diligence and a credit to the publisher who is now regarded internationally as a producer of high-quality books. The nearly 500 pages are printed on coated paper.
