The development of cultural trade has also drawn repeated attention. Intuitively, developing cultural trade can serve as an efficient method for international communications of culture. Selling products and services infused with national cultural elements to countries around the world provides an important avenue for spreading national culture globally. However, the relationship between cultural trade and international cultural communications is neither simple nor direct. Whether a country’s exported cultural products and services necessarily incorporate its own cultural elements is influenced by multiple factors, including degree of globalization in cultural industry, scale of domestic economy, distinctiveness of the national culture, and the costs associated with cultural trade. Against this backdrop, by examining important phenomena during the opening-up process of China’s film market, the book provides a thorough analysis of the relationship between Chinese cultural trade and the international communications of Chinese culture. %K Cultural trade, Chinese culture, Film market, Libin Luo, Ei Thinzar Win, Cultural Trade and International Cultural Communications %G English
