However, research on the validity of this test remains limited. Therefore, this study investigates the validity of ICT based on Weir’s (2005) socio-cognitive framework, focusing on cognitive validity, context validity, and consequential validity. This study addresses three main research questions: (1) Does ICT reflect the cognitive processes involved in real intercultural interactions? (2) To what extent does the test content align with the exam syllabus?
