%X With its unique geography and its historical significance as an important town along the Ancient Tea Horse Road, Benzilan Town has come to represent the fusion and transformation of ethnic cultures in the border of the Han and Tibetan cultures in northwestern Yunnan Province. Through three research trips to Benzilan Town, the authors conducted a comprehensive investigation of the history and culture of the Benzilan people from an anthropological perspective.
