N2  - Despite awareness of the value of short-term memory for the development of interpreter trainees’ skills, little research has been devoted to it and, in practice, the relevant share of an interpretation training programme is often limited, because of the rush to embark on acquiring note-taking and other techniques. This paper addresses a possible research project to look more closely at short-term memory development and the possible impact that such development could have on curriculum planning.
