Studia philosophica et historica

The series provides a forum for philosophical and historical works. It is especially appropriate for projects on the history of philosophy. A key objective is to make room for philosophical topics and issues, and especially focusing on their historical and historiographical assumptions. In addition to monographs the series also contains a number of commented text editions, translations and collections of essays. Die Schriftenreihe bietet ein Forum für philosophische, philosophiegeschichtliche und historiographische Arbeiten. Ein zentrales Motiv besteht darin, philosophische Themen und Fragestellungen unter Berücksichtigung ihrer historischen bzw. historiographischen Prämissen zur Geltung zu bringen. Neben Monographien enthält die Reihe auch kommentierte Texteditionen, Übersetzungen und Aufsatzsammlungen.

Die Deutsche Dostojewskij-Gesellschaft (DDG) verfolgt das Ziel, das Werk Fjodor Michajlowitsch Dostojewskijs (1821-1881), des weltweit immer noch wirkmächtigsten russischen Autors, in Deutschland zu verbreiten und über aktuelle Trends vor allem der deutschsprachigen Dostojewskij-Rezeption zu informieren. Die Gesellschaft hat eine wichtige Scharnierfunktion zwischen Fachwissenschaft (Russischer bzw. Slawischer Philologie) einerseits und dem anhaltend großen Kreis deutschsprachiger Dostojewskij-Leserinnen und -Leser. Zur Zielgruppe gehören Hochschulinstitute und -dozenten ebenso wie Theologen, Psychologen, Philosophen, Mediziner, Gymnasiallehrer, Volkhochschuldozenten und andere interessierte Laien. Das Jahrbuch der DDG dient in erster Hinsicht der Publikation der Vorträge der Jahrestagungen der Gesellschaft, die stets einem bestimmten Themenkreis gewidmet sind. Daneben erscheinen in ihm aber auch neuere wissenschaftliche oder populärwissenschaftliche Abhandlungen zum Thema des jeweiligen Bandes oder zu Dostojewskij allgemein. In den fast drei Jahrzehnten seines Bestehens konnte sich das Jahrbuch als Forum der deutschsprachigen Dostojewskij-Forschung etablieren, das auch von Fachwissenschaftlern geschätzt und als Medium genutzt wird.

The work of Marguerite Duras has become one of the most popular subjects of academic research, achieving enormous global reach. Her work crosses many genres (novels, theatre, films, journalism, interviews, short texts), and she attracted the interest of important contemporary thinkers such as Lacan, Foucault and Blanchot. As well as having a unique style and the power to fascinate, Duras was politically active and became an important witness of her time. These are the reasons why she is considered to be one of the most significant writers of the 20th century. This series aims to give academics and the large number of Duras fans the chance to explore a wide range of high-quality research generated by her work. This is made possible with the publication of monographs, collections of essays, conference notes and texts from doctoral research. The series encourages cross-disciplinary views and aims to be a major platform for dialogue on the different approaches to research on Marguerite Duras. La recherche scientifique autour de l’œuvre de Marguerite Duras est l’une des plus actives et l’une des plus étendues de par le monde. L’éclatement générique de son œuvre (romans, théâtre, cinéma, journalisme, entretiens, textes brefs), l’intérêt qu’elle a suscité chez les plus grands penseurs contemporains de toutes sortes de disciplines des sciences humaines (Lacan, Foucault, Blanchot, etc.), l’engagement politique et la position de témoin des événements marquants de son époque, l’originalité unique de son style et son pouvoir de fascination contribuent à placer l’écrivain parmi les plus importants de son siècle. La collection «　Marguerite Duras　» a pour objectif de présenter à un public universitaire et aux très nombreux passionnés de l’œuvre de l’écrivain un éventail large des travaux de qualité que génère son œuvre, par la publication de monographies, de volumes collectifs, d’actes de colloques et d’essais issus de thèses de doctorat. Elle encourage les points de vue interdisciplinaires et se veut l’un des lieux majeurs où se rencontrent et dialoguent les différentes facettes de l’étude des textes durassiens.

German Life and Civilization contributes to a critical understanding of Central European cultural history from medieval times to the present. Culture is here defined in the broadest sense, comprising expressions and representations in literature, music, performative and pictorial arts, and media, as well as political and sociohistorical developments in the texture of everyday life. Building on its strengths in GDR scholarship and political literature, the series also seeks to explore newer thematic trends such as human entanglements with the environment and natural world, and transnational and minority communities. The series aims to foster progressive and inclusive scholarship that aspires to a synthetic view of culture by crossing traditional disciplinary boundaries. Manuscripts in both English and German are subject to a robust external peer review process. The Education Management: Contexts, Constituents, and Communities (EM:c3) series includes the best scholarship on the varied dynamics of educational leadership, management, and ad-ministration across the educational continuum. In order to disseminate ideas and strate-gies useful for schools, colleges, and the education community, each book investigates critical topics missing from the extant literature and engages one or more theoretical perspectives. This series bridges the gaps between the traditional management research, practical approaches to academic administration, and the fluid nature of organizational realities. Additionally, the EM:c3 series endeavors to provide meaningful guidance on con-tinuing challenges to the effective and efficient management of educational contexts. Volumes in the series foreground important policy/praxis issues, developing professional trends, and the concerns of educational constituencies. The aim is to generate a corpus of scholarship that discusses the unique nature of education in the academic and social spaces of all school types (e.g., public, private, charter, parochial) and university types (e.g., public, private, historically black, tribal institutions, community colleges).
