La comprensión de teatro que fundamenta la colección es amplia y comprende todas sus dimensiones: desde el texto hasta la escenificación, pasando por las relaciones del teatro con otras artes y el papel que desempeña en la cultura hispánica. Además, la colección atenderá a otras manifestaciones escénicas y parateatrales que desbordan la noción tradicional de teatro como la danza, el circo, el cabaré, la sicalipsis, el teatro musical, etc. La colección publicará tanto monografías como volúmenes colectivos. La lengua prioritaria será el español, aunque se considerarán también propuestas para libros en otros idiomas de uso habitual en el ámbito académico.

This series of monographs is concerned with drama and allied entertainment in a wide variety of kinds in the theatre and on film, television and video screens. The emphasis is on the history and interpretation of dramatic entertainment, performance and production in regular and musical theatre, including music hall and variety stages, in para-theatrical activities, like fairground performance and festivals, and in the silent and sound cinema and on television and video. The series engages particularly with the social, political and economic contexts of drama on past and present stages and screens, considering the work of dramatists, performers, directors, designers, technicians and administrators, and will aim to be very wide-ranging in scope, its subjects spanning Classical, Medieval and Renaissance European drama and theatre, Eastern theatre forms, and international modern drama in its various performance kinds. Within this broad remit, the series hopes to publish historical, critical and theoretical studies, annotated anthologies of critical, theoretical and dramatic texts, and collections of interviews and screenplays.

MIMOS – Schweizer Jahrbuch Darstellende Künste

The MIMOS series addresses professionals in the field of the performing arts and an interested general public. The richly illustrated volumes contain contributions from specialists and artists in German, French, Italian and English. Since 2021, the Swiss Performing Arts Yearbook MIMOS documented the work of the respective winners of the Swiss Grand Award for the Performing Arts / Hans Reinhart Ring. This award, the highest in Switzerland, honours outstanding artists in the field of performing arts. The award is provided by the Swiss Federal Office of Culture (FOC) in cooperation with the Swiss Association for Theatre Studies (SATS). Laureates may be individuals or institution from dance, theatre, cabaret, performance, contemporary circus, puppet theatre or street art. Until 2020, the series was called MIMOS – Swiss Theatre Yearbook. From 2011 to 2013, each MIMOS edition was dedicated to the artist who the SATS awarded with the Hans Reinhart Ring. From 2014 to 2020, the main focus of the MIMOS Theatre Yearbook was placed on the winner of the Swiss Grand Award for Theatre / Hans Reinhart Ring, awarded by the FOC in cooperation with the SATS. In 2017, a special MIMOS edition was published to mark the triple anniversary: 90 years of the SATS, 60 years of the Hans Reinhart Ring and 25 years of the Institute of Theatre Studies at the University of Bern. Réalisés par des expertes et artistes du domaine des arts de la scène et richement illustrés, les volumes de la collection MIMOS s’adressent autant aux professionnelles, qu’à un public plus large. Les contributions sont rédigées en allemand, français, italien ainsi qu’en anglais. Depuis 2021, chaque ouvrage de l’Annuaire suisse des arts de la scène MIMOS est consacré au parcours artistique de la personnalité honorée par l’Office fédéral de la culture (OFC), en coopération avec la Société suisse du théâtre (SST), du Grand Prix suisse des arts de la scène / Anneau Hans Reinhart. Il s’agit de la plus haute distinction suisse décernée une fois par an à une ou un artiste ou institution issues de la danse, du théâtre, du cabaret, de la performance, du cirque contemporain, du théâtre de marionnettes ou des arts de la rue. Entre 2011 et 2013, sous le nom de MIMOS – Annuaire suisse du théâtre, les ouvrages de la collection étaient entièrement consacrés à la lauréate ou au lauréat de l’Anneau Hans Reinhart, attribué par la SST. Après, entre 2014 et 2020, la SST s’est penchée dans le cadre de sa collection MIMOS sur la trajectoire de l’artiste que l’OFC et la SST ont honoré par le Grand Prix suisse de théâtre / Anneau Hans Reinhart. Die Buchreihe MIMOS richtet sich an Fachleute aus dem Bereich der darstellenden Künste wie auch an ein interessiertes Publikum. Die reich bebilderten Bände enthalten Beiträge von Spezialist:innen und Künstler:innen in deutscher, französischer, italienischer und englischer Sprache. Seit 2021 dokumentiert das Schweizer Jahrbuch Darstellende Künste MIMOS das Wirken der Trägerin bzw. des Trägers des Schweizer Grand Prix Darstellende Künste / Hans-Reinhart-Rings. Mit dieser höchsten Auszeichnung im Bereich der darstellenden Künste ehrt das Bundesamt für Kultur (BAK) in Kooperation mit der Schweizerischen Gesellschaft für Theaterkultur (SGTK) jedes Jahr eine herausragende Persönlichkeit oder Institution aus Tanz, Theater, Kleinkunst, Performance, zeitgenössischer Zirkus, Figurentheater oder Strassenkunst. Bis 2020 hiess die Reihe MIMOS – Schweizer Theater-Jahrbuch. Von 2011 bis 2013 waren die einzelnen Bände den Künstler:innen gewidmet, die von der SGTK mit dem Hans-Reinhart-Ring ausgezeichnet wurden. Theaomai - Studien zu den performativen Künsten

The Old Greek verb theaomai – looking both with the mind’s eye and the actual eye - since the very beginning of European theatre suggests a close relation between theatre and theory. Within the act of perception the spectators, theates, relate the things they hear and see to the site of their memory and psyche. Of all the arts those who reflect the process of perception in the aesthetic form itself are performative arts. This series publishes interdisciplinary studies between theatre- and media studies as well as studies on the visual arts that analyse the social and subjective potential of the aesthetic process of looking, hearing, and reading. Das altgriechische Verb theaomai –„mit dem geistigen wie konkreten Auge schauen“? legt seit den Anfängen des europäischen Theaters eine enge Beziehung von Theater und Theorie nahe. Diese wird vom Zuschauer theates über den Akt seiner Wahrnehmung geknüpft: er verbindet konkretes Hören und Sehen mit dem Schauplatz seines Gedächtnisses und seiner Psyche. Künste, die diesen Prozess des Wahrnehmens in der ästhetischen Form selbst reflektieren, somit Denken und sinnliche Teilnahme des Rezipienten fordern, um die Sinnpotentialitäten des ästhetischen Gegenstands zu realisieren, sind performative Künste. This series presents innovative research work in the dramaturgies of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Its main purpose is to re-assess the complex relationship between textual studies, cultural and/or performance aspects at the dawn of this new multicultural millennium. The series offers discussions of the link between drama and multiculturalism (studies of “minority” playwrights –– ethnic, Aboriginal, gay, and lesbian), reconsiderations of established playwrights in the light of contemporary critical theories, studies of the interface between theatre practice and textual analysis, studies of marginalized theatrical practices (circus, vaudeville, etc.), explorations of emerging postcolonial drama, research into new modes of dramatic expressions and comparative or theoretical drama studies. Cette série présente des travaux de recherche innovateurs dans le domaine de la dramaturgie des XXe et XXIe siècles. Son objectif essentiel est de ré-examiner la relation complexe entre études de textes, aspects culturels et/ou performatifs à l’aube d’un millénaire multiculturel. L’arc chronologique va du XVIIIe siècle baroque à l’actualité la plus immédiate. Est privilégiée l’étude des textes et des modes d’écriture dont il s’agit de mettre en valeur le potentiel d’innovation. La pluralité des méthodes mises en œuvre vise à rendre compte de l’apport des textes considérés aux différents genres et discours selon aussi le contexte d’histoire littéraire ou des idées dans lequel ces productions s’inscrivent. Une place particulière est faite aux enquêtes sur le théâtre depuis le XVIIIe siècle, abordé également du point de vue de la performance, ainsi qu’aux relations littéraires et culturelles (parallèles, transferts, réception) entre la France et le monde germanique. Littératures de langue française

« Littératures de langue française » se propose de promouvoir les recherches sur les auteurs, courants et grandes aventures littéraires qui ont marqué la France et le monde francophone du XIXe siècle jusqu’à nos jours. S’intéressant de manière privilégiée au renouvellement des formes d’écriture et des genres littéraires qui caractérise cette période, elle accueille des études qui abordent auteurs et textes de manière scientifique et originale, selon des méthodes critiques qui recourent à ou concilient herméneutique, approche génétique et archivistique, approche poéticienne. Le roman, le théâtre et la poésie jusqu’à l’extrême-contemporain, mais aussi l’essai ou l’exégèse intéressent cette collection de même que des problématiques et thématiques transversales, abordées éventuellement de manière pluridisciplinaire, qui envisagent l’évolution et la transformation des formes littéraires. La collection accorde une place particulière à la littérature francophone, provenant d’aires traditionnellement francophones ou d’auteurs ayant adopté la langue française pour langue de création. Monographies, actes de colloques ou journées d’études, thèses de doctorat, publication d’inédits et éditions critiques trouvent leur place dans cette collection et manifestent le caractère innovant de la recherche littéraire dans le domaine contemporain.

Liminaires – Passages interculturels

Liminaires - Passages interculturels est une collection publiée par le LASLAR (Lettres Arts du Spectacle Langues Romanes) de lUniversité de Caen Basse-Normandie. Le LASLAR rassemble des francisants, des italianistes, des hispanistes dont les champs dintérêt et de recherche traversent de nombreuses disciplines et portent sur différentes époques de notre culture, du Moyen Age au XXIe siècle. Cette collection prend, sans solution de continuité, la suite de « Liminaires-Passages interculturels italo-ibériques » et présente des travaux conduits dans ce nouveau cadre institutionnel où les chercheurs romanistes du LEIA construisent leurs recherches de façon féconde avec des chercheurs en littérature française et arts du spectacle (théâtre et cinéma). Liminaires - Passages interculturels accueille des ouvrages en langues romanes répartis en trois grands domaines (italien, espagnol et français) : des actes de colloques, des cycles de conférences, des thèses de doctorat, des recherches de jeunes chercheurs ou de collaborateurs universitaires ou non, des éditions de textes dans une perspective pluriculturelle.
