Schriftenreihe zum IT- und Informationsrecht

Die neue Schriftenreihe will die umwälzenden Fragen der digitalen Gesellschaft aus juristischer Perspektive nachzeichnen, unter besonderer Berücksichtigung des IT-Rechts und der technischen Bezüge der Digitalisierung. Das besondere Augenmerk gilt dabei der interdisziplinären Verzahnung von Technik und Recht. Dabei weitet sich das IT-Recht zunehmend zu einem allgemeinen Daten- und Informationsrecht aus, sodass auch die Bezüge zu Rechtsfragen von Big Data, dem Dateneigentum oder der datenschutzrechtlichen Zuordnung von Informationen thematisiert werden. Willkommen sind insbesondere Abhandlungen, die die Grundsatzfragen des Informationsrechts interdisziplinär und rechtsvergleichend untersuchen. Die Schriftenreihe wurde Mitte 2022 eingestellt.

With the advent of digitization, communication with and between machines increasingly plays a role in interpersonal interactions. What will the future look like: will algorithms become more important than argumentation? Will societal discussions and decisions be replaced by big data analyses? What role will social media play, and how will communication work there? Will we still be telling stories in the future, while algorithms will be writing history? In short, how will information technology, social robots and artificial intelligence alter our existing understandings of communication in the emerging digital age? This book series aims to provide an interdisciplinary forum for both empirical and theoretical discussions of the relationship between language and digital culture. Book proposals are welcome and may be sent to either the editorial board or the publisher. The languages of publication are German and English. Mit der Digitalisierung tritt neben die zwischenmenschliche Interaktion zunehmend die Kommunikation mit und zwischen Maschinen. Doch wie wird die Zukunft aussehen: Werden Algorithmen wichtiger sein als Argumente? Werden soziale Diskussionen und Entscheidungen durch Big Data-Analysen ersetzt? Welche Rolle werden die Social Media spielen, und wie wird dort kommuniziert werden? Werden wir uns zukünftig zwar noch Geschichten erzählen, Algorithmen aber faktisch Geschichte schreiben? Kurzum: Wie werden Kommunikationstechnologien, soziale Roboter und Künstliche Intelligenz unser bisheriges Verständnis von Kommunikation in einer beginnenden Digitalkultur verändern? Die wissenschaftliche Buchreihe möchte diesem Spannungsverhältnis von Sprache und Digitalkultur ein interdisziplinäres Forum der empirischen wie theoretischen Auseinandersetzung bieten. Manuskriptvorschläge an Herausgebergremium oder Verlag sind willkommen. Publikationssprachen sind Deutsch und Englisch.

Innovation and business are interlinked. The series Chrono-bio-psychological Basics in Education and Health includes research on the topic of chrono-bio psychology. It combines disciplines of chronobiology, the chrono-medicine, and the chrono-psychology and explains their tasks related to health management and education. The central theme is recording and evaluating anchored in biological systems periodic processes of various body functions. The publications of the series will focus on the interrelationships between health, illness and the performance of the people. So they looked into such phenomena as burnout and black out, exhaustion, overload inhibition and hypersensitivity too. All parts are characterized by the fact that they are includes with practical examples. Die Reihe Chrono-bio-psychologische Grundlagen in Bildung und Gesundheit enthält Forschungsarbeiten zum Themengebiet der Chrono-Bio-Psychologie. British Identities since 1707

The historiography of British identities has flourished since the mid-1970s, spurred on by increasing national consciousness in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, and since 1997 by devolution. Historians and other academics have become increasingly aware that identities in the British Isles have been fluid and that interactions between the different parts of the British Isles have been central to historical developments since, and indeed before, the Act of Union between England and Scotland in 1707. This series seeks to encourage exploration of identities of place in the British Isles since the early eighteenth century, including intersections between competing and complementary identities such as region and nation. The series also advances discussion of other identities such as class, gender, religion, politics, ethnicity and culture when these are geographically located and positioned. While the series is historical, it welcomes cross- and interdisciplinary approaches to the study of British identities. British Identities since 1707 examines the unity and diversity of the British Isles, developing consideration of the multiplicity of negotiations that have taken place in such a multinational and multi-ethnic group of Islands. lt will include discussions of nationalism(s), of Britishness, Englishness, Scattishness, Welshness and Irishness, as well as 'regional' identities including, for example, those associated with Cornwall, the Gäidhealtachd region in Scotland and Gaeltacht areas in Ireland. The series will encompass discussions of relations with continental Europe and the United States, with ethnic and immigrant identities and with other forms of identity associated with the British Isles as place. The editors are interested in publishing books relating to the wider British world, including current and former parts of the British Empire and the Commonwealth, and places such as Gibraltar and the Falkland Islands and the smaller islands of the British archipelago. British Identities since 1707 reinforces the consideration of history, culture and politics as richly diverse across and within the borders of the British Isles.

The series Contributions to Social Research publishes works in sociology and related disciplines, both theoretical works and empirical research. Its focus is on explaining social phenomena and processes by employing assumptions on the micro- as well as the macro-level and the interplay between these levels. Founded in 1984 by Günter Büschges and Hansjürgen Daheim, the series covers a broad range of topics and research questions. Publications can be in German as well as English. Die Reihe Beiträge zur Gesellschaftsforschung umfasst Arbeiten aus der Soziologie und angrenzenden Wissenschaften. Veröffentlicht werden theoretische und empirische Beiträge zur Erklärung sozialer Phänomene und Prozesse, insbesondere solche Beiträge, die bei Erklärungen Annahmen über die Mikro- und Makroebene berücksichtigen und beide Ebenen miteinander verbinden. In der Reihe "Deutsche Literatur von den Anfängen bis 1700" erscheinen Ergebnisse germanistischer Forschung und Reflexion über einen Zeitraum, der ca. 1000 Jahre deutscher Literaturgeschichte umfasst, in denen das rhetorische und mentale Inventar an Sprach-, Bild-, und Denkmustern im Kontext einer intensiv gegenwärtigen christlichen Welt- und Erinnerungsschau sich gehalten und verfasst fand. Das Spektrum der Veröffentlichungen ist konzeptuell nicht beschränkt auf Interpretation und Analyse einzelner Literaturdenkmäler, sondern ist offen für Zeitdiagnose und Epochenprobleme, vor allem aber auch für die editorische Neuerschliessung von Texten, für methodische Neuansätze und interdisziplinäre Vorgehensweisen dieser Interpretation, auf deren Inanspruchnahme sowohl die mediävistische Altgermanistik als auch die mittlere Germanistik und die sich allmählich intensivierende Beschäftigung mit der beginnenden Neuzeit (16./17. Jahrhundert) angewiesen bleiben, sofern diese Zeiträume sachgerecht und historisch relevant behandelt werden sollen. Auf Grund der Diversität der Aufgabenstellungen, Forschungsrichtungen und methodischen Ansätze, die hier zur Sprache kommen mögen, sind die einzelnen Bände so konzipiert, dass sie ein Werk, eine Epoche oder eine systematische Fragestellung selbstständig erörternd angehen.

„Italien in Geschichte und Gegenwart" (IGG) publiziert Forschungen zur italienischen Geschichte vom 18. Jahrhundert bis an die Schwelle der Gegenwart. Die Reihe bietet ein Forum für innovative Studien, Qualifikationsschriften und Sammelwerke aus dem Bereich der Geschichtswissenschaften sowie der historischen Kultur- und Sozialwissenschaften. Damit fördert "Italien in Geschichte und Gegenwart" namentlich im deutschsprachigen Raum die Diskussion von Themen und aktuellen Fragen der Geschichte Italiens sowie der deutsch-italienischen Beziehungen. Die Prüfung der Manuskripte folgt den internationalen Standards der Qualitätssicherung.

The series Sources and Studies in Music History from Antiquity to the Present treats a wide range of musicological subjects from antiquity to the present day. There are editions of unknown or forgotten musical sources, biographies of composers, monographs, collections of articles and lectures. Its intention is to promote the dialogue between historical, comparative, and interdisciplinary studies, including recent developments in musicology and musical theory. Die Reihe Quellen und Studien zur Musikgeschichte von der Antike bis in die Gegenwart beschäftigt sich mit einer großen Bandbreite von musikwissenschaftlichen Themen von der Antike bis in die neueste Zeit. Hier erscheinen Quelleneditionen unbekannter oder vergessener Musikwerke, Komponistenbiographien und Monographien sowie Schriften und Vorträge. Die Reihe nimmt aber auch epochenübergreifende und interdisziplinäre Entwicklungen zum Anlass für vergleichende Studien. Ebenso werden aktuelle Entwicklungen der Musikwissenschaft und Musiktheorie als Forschungsfeld aufgegriffen.

British and Irish Studies in German Language and Literature Edited by H. S. Reiss and W. E. Yates This long-established series aims to publish works of serious scholarship drawn from the whole subject range of traditional Germanistik, originating both in Great Britain and in the Republic of Ireland, and readably written. Over fifty volumes have b een published since 1974. They include new books both by distinguished senior scholars and by younger researchers, collected essays either by single authors or by several hands (these have included papers emerging from conferences, often in both Eng lish and German) and selected doctoral dissertations reworked in book form. The weight of the series has mainly fallen on literature, theatre and cultural history from the eighteenth century onwards, in some cases with a strong comparative dimension.

This series includes theoretical studies of any genre or aspect of folklore. The series welcomes individually authored and collaboratively authored books, monographs, collections of data, bibliographies, and Festschriften. The emphasis will be on analytic and methodological innovations in the consideration of myth, folktale, legend, superstition, proverb, riddle, folksong, festival, game or any other form of folklore as well as any of the interpretative approaches to folklore topics. This series of monographs and books is designed as a contribution to the scholarly and academic understanding of religion. Such understanding is taken to involve both a descriptive and an explanatory task. The first task is conceived as one of surface description involving the gathering of information about religions, and depth description that provides, on the basis of the data gathered, a more finely nuanced description of a tradition's self-understanding. The second task concerns the search for explanation and the development of theory to account for religion and for particular historical traditions. The series will, furthermore, cover the phenomenon of religion in all its constituent dimensions and geographic diversity. Indigenous Cultures of Latin America

Indigenous Cultures of Latin America: Past and Present is a new bilingual series that welcomes book proposals, in English or Spanish, focused on the fields of anthropology, archaeology, linguistics, ethnohistory, and art history, among others. We encourage original proposals for projects that use a conjunctive approach to understanding beliefs and lifeways of prehispanic, colonial period, and contemporary indigenous peoples inhabiting Latin America, broadly defined (i.e. extending into parts of the U.S. Southeast and Southwest), relying on a combination of methodologies and data sets to interpret the subject matter. We further encourage projects that utilize decolonizing methodologies and seek to promote research and fieldwork undertaken in collaboration with local indigenous communities and/or indigenous consultants. The series will publish academic monographs, edited collections, and readers. All book proposals and manuscripts will be subject to a rigorous single-blind peer review process, conducted by experts in the respective field(s) of study.
