Lang Classical Studies
Lang Classical Studies includes topics in the history, literature, and culture of the ancient Greek and Roman world. Monographs that challenge currently accepted views or mark out new areas of investigation are especially welcome. Comparative studies that combine various aspects of religion, intellectual history, reception studies, political theory, archaeology, ancient medicine, and the history of science fall within the scope of this series whenever they address the larger concerns of modern Classical scholarship. Contributors to this series, however, need not feel they are confined to currently fashionable topics or approaches. Sociología política para los desafíos del siglo XXI
This series seeks to analyse contemporary issues of the global South through the lens of political sociology. It explores the many challenges this region of the world faces that lie at the intersection between politics and society: state capacity, control of the territory and concentration of political and economic power, coexistence of democratic regimes with extraordinary levels of violence, poverty and inequality, weakness of the judicial system, grave human rights violations, government unaccountability, corruption, impunity, media concentration and political use of networks, only to mention a few. The collection aims to offer a methodologically rigorous and conceptually original view of these and other challenges the current world and in particular the global South faces. The series is aimed at social scientists worldwide and it accepts proposals of original research in Spanish and English in both qualitative and quantitative political sociology.

Semmelweis Medical Linguistics Investigations
The Semmelweis Medical Linguistics Investigations series explores how language fundamentally shapes healthcare communication, practice, education, and policy. It provides a dedicated platform for interdisciplinary research at the intersection of medicine and linguistics, offering insights into how language practices impact patient safety, clinical efficiency, and equitable care. The diversity of methodological approaches supports both theoretical innovation and practical application. The series builds on a growing recognition that language is not merely a medium of transmission in healthcare. Effective communication is integral to accurate diagnosis, informed consent, continuity of care, and trust between patients and providers. With its roots at Semmelweis University in Budapest – an institution with a longstanding tradition in medical excellence – the series is positioned to become a cornerstone of international medical linguistics research.

Higher Education and Civic Democratic Engagement
Exploring ImpactHow might we interrogate and reimagine the impact of civic, democratic engagement across higher education? This series invites narratives and new studies that critically and creatively explore the possibilities and limitations of civic, democratic engagement within higher education. The editors seek to gather inclusive, imaginary, transdisciplinary scholarship exploring the impact of next generation civic, democratic engagement from a diverse range of voices. Among others, we hope these voices will include international and indigenous perspectives, members from a diverse array of communities, researchers from across disciplines, teacher-scholars, practitioners and activists, undergraduate and graduate students, politicians, businesses, and different forms of administration. The editors invite proposals that critically examine historical, cultural, and structural dimensions of impact while exploring innovative strategies for disrupting and recreating more inclusive, liberatory, and plural forms of civic democratic engagement. The editors welcome and encourage a wide-range of formats including, but not limited to, narrative studies, ethnographies, mixed method studies, case studies, socio-cultural and/or historical analyses, theoretical treatises from multiple theoretical lens as well as reports and toolkits that support efforts to examine the impact of civic democratic engagement. For inquiries on submitting a proposal should contact the Series Editors Barry Kanpol (Kanpolb@gvsu.edu) & Danielle Lake (lakeda@gvsu.edu) with a brief overview of their project, and explanation of how it fits the series, and a current CV.

New Studies in European Cinema
ISSN: 1661-0261
With its focus on new critical, theoretical, and cultural developments in contemporary film studies, this series encourages lively analytical debate within an innovative, multidisciplinary, and transnational approach to European cinema. It aims to create an expansive sense of where the borders of European cinema may lie and to explore its interactions and exchanges within and between regional and national spaces, taking into account diverse audiences and institutions. The series reflects the range and depth of European cinema, while also attempting to revise and extend its importance within the development of cinema studies in the coming decades. Of particular interest is how European cinema may respond to the challenges of digital distribution and the new intermedial landscape, evolving issues in transnational funding and production, the significance of film festival culture, and questions of multivocality and pluralism at a time of global crisis. The impact of all such developments upon European culture and identity will be of fundamental interest in the coming decades and the New Studies in European Cinema series makes a key contribution to this debate. Proposals for monographs and edited collections are welcome. All proposals and manuscripts undergo a rigorous peer review assessment prior to publication.

MeLiS. Medien – Literaturen – Sprachen in Anglistik/Amerikanistik, Germanistik und Romanistik
MeLiS is dedicated to media science, literature and linguistics from a cultural perspective. It also deals with issues derived from anthropology, the media, society, history and aesthetics. The cornerstone of MeLiS is an extended and descriptive interpretation of culture. The ability to decipher specific cultural derivatives and phenomena is dependent on time, space, the relevant context, and the disciplinary environment of the respective observer. MeLiS presents research approaches from various disciplines for discussion. A perspective that transcends trans-disciplinary or national-philological borders and promotes reflective dialogue among the academic disciplines is therefore expressly encouraged.

Restoration Drama
Texts and ContextsISSN: 2673-172X
This series attempts to illustrate the richness and diversity of Restoration drama, a thriving theatrical production which has been long overshadowed by the brilliance of the Age of Shakespeare. The aim of the collection is to bring to light dramatic texts that have not attracted much critical attention but display the most popular generic formulas of the time and introduce a wide array of suggestive topics. The series consists of modern spelling, fully annotated editions, complete with textual commentary, glosses, as well as historical, cultural and literary references. Each of the volumes includes a critical introduction which places the text in context, discussing aspects such as authorship, the play’s response to the historical circumstances of the time, its use of theatrical conventions and stage history.
