La collection «Histoire de l’énergie» est née du constat de l’éparpillement des publications sur le thème de l’énergie, au moment même où les approches sont en train d’être profondément renouvelées. Le projet scientifique de la collection consiste à rendre compte, par des publications de thèses, d’actes de colloques ou de travaux de recherche, de la diversité des approches scientifiques. L’objectif est de proposer une vaste réflexion sur les différentes énergies, tant pour ce qui est de leur production que de leur consommation. Les acteurs (entreprises, États, consommateurs), les marchés, les modes de vie conduisent à privilégier une approche globale dans laquelle les différentes énergies sont tout à la fois concurrentes et complémentaires.En adoptant ces perspectives volontairement larges, la collection «Histoire de l’énergie» entend servir de point d’ancrage à des travaux académiques et de faciliter leur diffusion. The series «History of Energy» brings together diverse academic publications on questions of energy, at a time when academic approaches are undergoing profound changes. The series aims to show the variety of these approaches by publishing PhD theses, conference proceedings and other research. Actors (such as companies, states and consumers), markets and lifestyles all contribute to the global analysis developed in the series, in which all aspects of energy are considered. The series provides an outlet for new and original contributions to the history of energy.

Interdisciplinary Studies in Performance

The series aims at presenting innovative cross-disciplinary and intercultural research in performance practice and theory. Its mission is to expand and enrich performance studies with new research in theatre, film, dance, ritual and art. It also draws on queer and gender studies, anthropology, linguistics, archeaology, ethnography, sociology, history, media and political sciences, and even medicine and biology. The series focuses on promoting groundbreaking methodologies and new directions in studying performative culture by scrutinizing its transformative and transgressive aspects. The series Interdisciplinary Studies in Performance publishes in English and German. Volumes may be monographs as well as thematic collections of papers by scholars from Poland and from abroad.

The purpose of the «French Diplomatic Documents» (DDF) is to present year on year the most significant documents relating to French Foreign Policy – preserved by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A rigorous scientific method is employed for the document selection undertaken by independent groups of scholars and historians under the direction of eminent academics. For this purpose, the groups of scholars are provided complete access to all archives, produced or received by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In order to facilitate reading, the selection of the documents published is annotated using a methodical table, footnotes and an index of names. The DDF series is an indispensable tool for information concerning the history of international relations and French diplomacy during the course of the 20th century. This series presents innovative research work in the dramaturgies of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Its main purpose is to re-assess the complex relationship between textual studies, cultural and/or performance aspects at the dawn of this new multicultural millennium. The series offers discussions of the link between drama and multiculturalism (studies of “minority” playwrights –– ethnic, Aboriginal, gay, and lesbian), reconsiderations of established playwrights in the light of contemporary critical theories, studies of the interface between theatre practice and textual analysis, studies of marginalized theatrical practices (circus, vaudeville, etc.), explorations of emerging postcolonial drama, research into new modes of dramatic expressions and comparative or theoretical drama studies. Cette série présente des travaux de recherche innovateurs dans le domaine de la dramaturgie des XXe et XXIe siècles. Son objectif essentiel est de ré-examiner la relation complexe entre études de textes, aspects culturels et/ou performatifs à l’aube d’un millénaire multiculturel. La collection offre des analyses du lien entre textes dramatiques et multiculturalisme (études de dramaturges issus de « minorités » diverses, ethniques, aborigènes et sexuelles), de nouvelles approches de dramaturges confirmés à la lumière des théories critiques contemporaines, des études de l’interface entre pratique théâtrale et analyse textuelle, des études de formes théâtrales marginales (cirque, vaudeville, etc.), des monographies relatives au théâtre postcolonial ainsi qu’aux nouveaux modes d’expression dramatique. Elle aborde également le domaine du théâtre comparé et de la théorie théâtrale.

The series of books entitled Veröffentlichungen des Instituts für Energie- und Regulierungsrecht Berlin, published by the Institute for Energy and Regulatory Law in Berlin, presents studies carried out within the Department of Law. The editor Professor Franz Jürgen Säcker has hereby established a platform for the publication of monographs and anthologies in collaboration with the Free University of Berlin. The series had previously been published as Veröffentlichungen des Instituts für deutsches und europäisches Wirtschafts-, Wettbewerbs- und Regulierungsrecht der Freien Universität Berlin. Die Buchreihe Veröffentlichungen des Instituts für Energie- und Regulierungsrecht Berlin präsentiert Studien aus dem Fachbereich der Rechtswissenschaft. Der Herausgeber Professor Franz Jürgen Säcker, schafft hier in Zusammenarbeit mit der Freien Universität Berlin eine Plattform für Monographien und Sammelbände. The purpose of the «French Diplomatic Documents» (DDF) is to present year on year the most significant documents relating to French Foreign Policy – preserved by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. New Directions in German-American Studies

It is the purpose of this series to subject the large topic of German-America to new critical scrutiny. It does so as an international collaborative effort among scholars in disciplines ranging from modern languages to political history, from American Studies to anthropology, who present independently conceived publications as part of the larger project. Reimagined as part of multilingual America, the new examinations of the German-American tradition in this series offer not only new approaches to German-American studies, but they also force new thinking about what constitutes “German literature” and what have been the defining, though too little recognized, multilingual features of “American literature."
