La colección La tradición clásica y humanística en España e Hispanoamérica recoge estudios y ediciones vinculados de una u otra forma a la herencia de Grecia y Roma en los tiempos posteriores o anteriores al Humanismo de los siglos XV y XVI en el ámbito de España e Hispanoamérica. Con ello se pretende recuperar autores y obras, primordialmente de los siglos XVII al XIX, que pueden despertar interés en diferentes ámbitos de investigación. Además de las ediciones, la colección recoge también estudios relacionados con la tradición clásica en sus diferentes aspectos, tanto geográficos como históricos, literarios y artísticos, que irán profusamente documentados y anotados. Die Zielsetzung der Reihe Social Strategies ist es, Theorie und Praxis in soziologischen und gesellschaftspolitischen Problemstellungen zu verbinden. Dabei interessieren fundierte Analysen sowie konkrete Lösungsansätze und Handlungsvorschläge. Inhaltliche Schwerpunkte bilden die Bereiche soziale Ungleichheit sowie Konflikt und Kooperation im Kontext globaler Prozesse. Eine enge Zusammenarbeit besteht mit der Hochschule für Soziale Arbeit (Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz), dem Basler Institut für Soziologie (Universität Basel) und dem dort angesiedelten Zentrum für Konfliktforschung. Daneben nimmt die Reihe aber auch Manuskripte von anderen Forscherinnen und Forschern auf. Die sozialwissenschaftlich orientierten Arbeiten sollen neben dem wissenschaftlichen auch ein breiteres, an soziologischen und gesellschaftspolitischen Fragen interessiertes Publikum ansprechen. Publiziert werden Kongressberichte, Festschriften, Dissertationen und weitere Arbeiten, die sich interdisziplinär mit sozialen Fragen und Strategien auseinander setzen. Die Publikationssprachen sind deutsch, englisch und französisch.

Humanistas españoles

La colección Humanistas españoles está dedicada desde 1991 a la edición textos de autores del Humanismo de los siglos XVI y XVII, ya sean españoles o tengan una relación, por su vida o por su obra, con España. Los autores y obras, en lengua latina o en castellana, que componen esta colección son inéditos o solo conocidos por ediciones de la época humanística. Por ello se presenta una edición crítica, acompañada de traducción en caso de tratarse de una obra en latín, con introducción sobre el autor y la obra, con dos tipos de notas, unas paleográficas y textuales, y otras con abundantes comentarios de contenido. Cada monografía se completa con sus correspondientes índices de antropónimos, topónimos y pasajes citados. La localización y estudio de manuscritos y ediciones en archivos y bibliotecas ha permitido recuperar y editar, de manera accesible, obras y autores poco conocidos de notable influjo cultural en España y Europa.

Sociología política para los desafíos del siglo XXI

This series seeks to analyse contemporary issues of the global South through the lens of political sociology. It explores the many challenges this region of the world faces that lie at the intersection between politics and society: state capacity, control of the territory and concentration of political and economic power, coexistence of democratic regimes with extraordinary levels of violence, poverty and inequality, weakness of the judicial system, grave human rights violations, government unaccountability, corruption, impunity, media concentration and political use of networks, only to mention a few. The collection aims to offer a methodologically rigorous and conceptually original view of these and other challenges the current world and in particular the global South faces. The series is aimed at social scientists worldwide and it accepts proposals of original research in Spanish and English in both qualitative and quantitative political sociology. <STRIKE> </STRIKE> La colección busca analizar problemas contemporáneos del sur global desde una perspectiva de sociología política original conceptualmente y rigurosa metodológicamente. Consideramos que esta región del mundo enfrenta numerosos desafíos que requieren investigación profunda y original: la capacidad estatal y la necesidad de construir estados erosionados, el control territorial, las íticas de seguridad, la convivencia de regímenes democráticos con niveles de violencia inusitados; los poderes fácticos y la innovación democrática; la desigualdad material y de reconocimiento; nuevos actores políticos y económicos legales e ilegales; nuevas formas de ejercicio de la representación política; debilidad del sistema de justicia etc. Se reciben propuestas en español, e inglés resultado de investigaciones originales con una perspectiva de sociología política cualitativas o cuantitativas. Está dirigida a cientistas sociales del sur global en particular y del mundo en general.

La Fabrique du politique

L’analyse des politiques publiques, des institutions et acteurs qui les conçoivent, a beaucoup gagné à s’ouvrir largement aux autres sciences sociales et particulièrement à la sociologie. Qu’il s’agisse des organisations internationales, des institutions européennes, des administrations nationales ou encore des collectivités territoriales, les enquêtes quantitatives et qualitatives sur leur personnel et leurs interlocuteurs privilégiés, l’observation ethnographique, le travail sur archives, permettent de renouveler le regard sur l’action publique. Attentives à la diversité des acteurs engagés dans la formulation des politiques publiques, ces recherches peuvent en outre s’appuyer avec profit sur les enseignements et concepts de la sociologie du droit, des organisations, des professions, ou des institutions pour éclairer la façon dont élus, fonctionnaires, experts, représentants d’intérêts, ou encore usagers y contribuent. This series is designed to encourage philosophers to explore new directions of research in philosophy. The underlying premise of the series is that contemporary philosophical research is impeded by an understanding of the intellectual division of labor according to which philosophy is conceived of as separate from the natural and social sciences, the arts and humanistic disciplines. Science is impoverished by the neglect of immediate attention to the metaphysical and moral questions posed by scientific developments. The arts and humanistic disciplines are also impoverished by a lack of sufficient attention to the philosophical implication of innovation in each of these areas. The pressing problems of contemporary civilization, particularly the problems that concern the relationship between science, technology and ethical and political values, we believe, can only be adequately explored by a re-integration of philosophy with other fields. This series seeks to call attention to itself by meeting high standards of scholarship and producing work of unquestionable merit. Works in this series should contribute to the re-integration of philosophy with the natural and social sciences, technology, the arts or humanities by challenging philosophical preconceptions that block the re-integration of philosophy with other disciplines. The Neo-Latin literature is an important factor uniting Europe as a cultural entity. It is impossible to comprehend European culture as a coherent homogenous whole without an enquiry into this literature. European culture perceived as the sum of national literatures emerges to us as incomplete and distorted as a figure reflected in a broken mirror. The series œNeo-Latin Studies shall include books concerning all aspects of Neo-Latin writing. It is our intention to pay a special attention to Central European writing of the 16th, 17th, 18th centuries and more broadly the issues of the Northern Renaissance. Books “ both collections of studies by various authors (such as its forerunner Pietas Humanistica, 2006) and individual monographs “ will be published both in English and German. Theodor-Geiger-Gesamtausgabe (TGG)

"Theodor Geiger (1891&ndash;1952) zählt zu den Klassikern der Soziologie. Ursprünglich aus Deutschland stammend, wo er von 1928 an an der Technischen Hochschule Braunschweig als erster Professor für Soziologie lehrte, floh er nach Dänemark, weil er vom Nazi-Regime im Herbst 1933 wegen &laquo;nationaler Unzuverlässigkeit&raquo; entlassen wurde. Dort wurde er 1938 zum landesweit ersten Professor für Soziologie an der Universität Aarhus berufen. In Deutschland gilt Geiger als Begründer der Schichtungssoziologie als empirischer Gesellschaftswissenschaft. In seinen vielfältigen Werken in Dänemark vereinigte er systematische deutsche soziologische Tradition mit skandinavischer Rechtstradition und hat damit die dänischen und schwedischen Gesellschaftswissenschaften entscheidend geprägt. Die Edition der Theodor-Geiger-Gesamtausgabe begann im Jahre 2002. 31 Bände in 7 Abteilungen sowie ein zusätzlicher Registerband sind geplant. 6 Bände sind bereits erschienen; ein weiterer Band ist für Ende 2014 vorgesehen, die nächsten Bände folgen voraussichtlich im Herbst 2015 und im Herbst 2016. Originally from Germany, where he was first professor of sociology at the College of Science and Technology Brunswick from 1928 forth, he took refuge at Denmark in autumn 1933 because he was displaced on account of &laquo;nationally undesirable&raquo; by the NS-regime. Here he became the nation&rsquo;s first professor of sociology at the University of Aarhus. In Germany Geiger is considered a founder of sociology of social classes as empirical social science. In his various works in Denmark he systematically united German sociological tradition with Scandinavian legal tradition. Thus he shaped Danish and Swedish social sciences decisively. The edition of Theodor Geiger&rsquo;s complete works began in 2002. 31 Volumes in 7 domains of science are planned plus an additional index. 6 volumes have already been published. The series Language, Literature, Translation (LeLiTrad) will gather research papers on the various fields related to humanistic and specialized translation approached from multidisciplinary perspectives. In the present collection, therefore, the collection would bring together papers on the translation of literary works from assumptions related to comparative studies, discourse analysis, or the relationships between literature and other arts; Also, the collection would be hosting research papers on disciplines like terminology, applied linguistics, and specialized translation in a variety of fields (such as legal, bio-sanitary, agri-food, technical, hybrid texts, veterinary sciences, economic sciences, translation for citizen security and translation for social affairs, audiovisual translation, para-translation, etc.). Next to these, research papers focused on different aspects of translation like theoretical essays and work on inter-language interpretation will also be accepted and assessed for publication. In short, the series Language, Literature, Translation aims to offer the specialized readers all theoretical and practical aspects hinging around the translation of texts and interpretation of speeches, so that they may contribute to the critical debate and the resulting enrichment of the discipline both in Spain and in the wider European context. La colección Lengua, Literatura, Traducción (LeLiTrad) reúne los distintos ámbitos relacionados con la traducción humanística y especializada desde una perspectiva multidisciplinar. En este sentido, abordamos desde esta colección la traducción literaria de obras desde presupuestos relacionados con la comparatística, el análisis del discurso, o la relación de la literatura con otras artes; por otro lado, la colección acoge trabajos sobre terminología, lingüística aplicada, y traducción especializada en sus múltiples ámbitos (jurídico, biosanitario, agroalimentario, técnico, textos híbridos, ciencias veterinarias, ciencias económicas, traducción para la inclusión, traducción para la seguridad de la ciudadanía y traducción social, traducción audiovisual, paratraducción, etc.).
