The purpose of the «French Diplomatic Documents» (DDF) is to present year on year the most significant documents relating to French Foreign Policy – preserved by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A rigorous scientific method is employed for the document selection undertaken by independent groups of scholars and historians under the direction of eminent academics. For this purpose, the groups of scholars are provided complete access to all archives, produced or received by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In order to facilitate reading, the selection of the documents published is annotated using a methodical table, footnotes and an index of names. The DDF series is an indispensable tool for information concerning the history of international relations and French diplomacy during the course of the 20th century. The «French Diplomatic Documents» publications currently in preparation are chaired by the Diplomatic Archives Commission. Présenter, année par année, les documents les plus significatifs de la politique étrangère de la France et conservés par le ministère des affaires étrangères : tel est l’’objet des « Documents diplomatiques français » (DDF). La sélection de ces documents est faite d’une façon rigoureusement scientifique et en toute indépendance par des équipes de chercheurs et d’’historiens sous la direction d’’éminents universitaires. Pour ce faire, ces équipes ont un accès total à toutes les archives produites ou reçues par le ministère français des affaires étrangères. La sélection des documents publiés est complétée, pour en rendre la lecture plus aisée, par une table méthodique, des notes de bas de page et un index des noms de personnes. La collection des DDF est un outil indispensable à la connaissance de l’’histoire des relations internationales et de la diplomatie française au cours du XXe siècle. Die Auswahl der veröffentlichten Dokumente wird getroffen von unabhängigen Gelehrten und Historikern unter der Leitung von herausragenden Wissenschaftlern. Mit streng wissenschaftlichen Methoden haben sie Zugang zu sämtlichen Archiven des französischen Außenministeriums. Zur Erleichterung des Leseprozesses werden die veröffentlichten Dokumente begleitet von Kommentaren, Tabellen zur wissenschaftlichen Methode, Fußnoten und Personenverzeichnissen. Die Reihe ist ein unverzichtbares Werkzeug zur Informationen über die Geschichte der internationalen Beziehungen und der französischen Diplomatie im Laufe des 20. Jahrhunderts. The series, seeking to present the richness that this expansion of points of view constitutes, will welcome studies making it possible to confront the data and the observations of research centered on the linguistic system with those of studies exploring other areas of research on the operation of language in specific contexts: the area of acquisition, the area of teaching/learning, the area of different types of variation, diachronic, diatopic, diastratic, oral/written, etc. All the volumes published in the series «GRAMM-R» will be subject to double blind peer review. La collection « GRAMM-R. Études de Linguistique française » a pour but de rendre accessibles les travaux de linguistique française, en tenant compte, à la fois, des grandes théories linguistiques, de la multiplication des recherches dans des domaines connexes et de la diversification des points de vue sur le langage. Pour rendre compte de la richesse que constitue ce foisonnement de points de vue, la collection accueillera les travaux permettant de confronter les données et les observations des recherches centrées sur le système langagier à celles des travaux explorant d’’autres aires de recherche sur le fonctionnement de la langue dans des contextes spécifiques : l’’aire de l’’acquisition, l’’aire de l’’enseignement/apprentissage, l’’aire de la variation diachronique, diatopique, diastratique, oral/écrit, etc. Tous les volumes de la collection « GRAMM-R » sont soumis à une expertise en double aveugle par les pairs.

Die Reihe Wiener Moderne veröffentlicht Monographien und Sammelbände zu Themen der Österreichischen Geschichte. Sie verknüpft die Betrachtung von sozialen Prozessen, Institutionen und historischem Wandel mit gesellschaftstheoretischen Überlegungen. Obwohl im Schwerpunkt historisch ausgerichtet, stellt sie konzeptionell Bezüge zu Philosophie und Politikwissenschaft her. Contrary to certain preconceptions concerning globalisation, the phenomenon is not a recent one. In the past, many regions around the world have been incorporated into a dominant social and economic system at varying rates and to varying degrees. Their history has also become the history of Europe for which these regions have become so many “Overseas”. This collection is open in part to works dedicated to these Overseas regions and in part to works on their relationships with Europe. The aim of the collection is to bring together works concentrating rather on cross-perspectives than readings based on radical, generally univocal confrontations. Alongside these monographs and collective research works, the collection also makes room for the publication of documents and work tools designed not only to contribute to changing these problems but also to make it easier to exploit as yet unknown or little known sources. Michel Dumoulin (Université Catholique de Louvain) and Patricia Van Schuylenbergh (Royal Museum for Central Africa and Université Catholique de Louvain) are managing the collection with the help of an editorial committee. Malgré certaines idées reçues au sujet de la globalisation, celle-ci ne constitue pas un phénomène récent. Au fil du temps, les différentes parties du monde ont été intégrées, selon des rythmes et une amplitude variant de l’une à l’autre, à un système économique et social dominant. L’histoire de ces régions est aussi devenue celle de l’Europe pour laquelle elles sont devenues autant d’Outre-Mers. C’est aux travaux consacrés à ces Outre-Mers, d’une part ; aux rapports qu’ils ont entretenus avec l’Europe, d’autre part, que cette collection est ouverte dans le souci d’accueillir des approches privilégiant les regards croisés plutôt que les lectures fondées sur des confrontations radicales le plus souvent univoques. Au côté de monographies et résultats de recherches collectives, la collection ménage une place aux éditions de documents et aux instruments de travail destinés à contribuer au renouvellement des problématiques mais aussi à faciliter l’exploitation de sources peu ou pas encore connues. La collection est placée sous la direction de Michel Dumoulin (Université catholique de Louvain) et Patricia Van Schuylenbergh (Musée royal de l’Afrique centrale et Université catholique de Louvain) secondés par un comité éditorial.
