Series founded by Lorenzo Kamel "Global Politics and Security" publishes high-quality books authored by leading academics, think-tankers and policymakers on topical questions in international relations and modern and contemporary history, ranging from diplomacy and security, to development, economy, migration, energy and climate. The series publishes works produced by the Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI), Italy’s leading foreign policy think-tank, as well as by authors affiliated to other international think tanks or universities. The aim is to promote deeper knowledge of emerging issues and trends through constant exchange between the worlds of academia and practice. Publications include original monographs and edited volumes which combine a grasp of the past, an understanding of present dynamics, and a vision about potential futures.

"La collection Etudes genevoises sur l’Antiquité – EGeA est rattachée au Département des sciences de l’Antiquité de l’Université de Genève, Faculté des lettres, et publiée avec l’appui d’un comité de lecture international. La série propose des monographies, des ouvrages collectifs et des actes de colloques scientifiques issus de recherches du Département des sciences de l’Antiquité de l’Université de Genève ou des ouvrages présentant une contribution substantielle du Département. La série couvre tous les domaines représentés au sein du Département, avec une ouverture sur d’autres domaines avoisinants. Les domaines privilégiés sont notamment l’Archéologie classique, l’Egyptologie et le copte, le Grec ancien, l’Histoire ancienne, l’Histoire des religions, le Latin et les langues et civilisations de la Mésopotamie. Beyond Humanism: Trans- and Posthumanism / Jenseits des Humanismus: Trans- und Posthumanismus

Humanism, which is characterized by the special status of human beings within the world, i.e. human beings do not differ gradually but categorically from other natural beings, is in a crisis. It gets attacked from various directions. Basically, it is possible to distinguish two main movements which try to transcend Humanism: Trans- and Posthumanism. In the book series Beyond Humanism: Trans- and Posthumanism / Jenseits des Humanismus: Trans- und Posthumanismus, monographs and essay collections will be published which discuss aspects of this range of topics historically or systematically. La série couvre tous les domaines représentés au sein du Département des sciences de l’Antiquité de l’Université de Genève, avec, dans l’intérêt de l’interdisciplinarité, une ouverture sur d’autres domaines avoisinants.
