The series Language, Literature, Translation (LeLiTrad) will gather research papers on the various fields related to humanistic and specialized translation approached from multidisciplinary perspectives. In the present collection, therefore, the collection would bring together papers on the translation of literary works from assumptions related to comparative studies, discourse analysis, or the relationships between literature and other arts; Also, the collection would be hosting research papers on disciplines like terminology, applied linguistics, and specialized translation in a variety of fields (such as legal, bio-sanitary, agri-food, technical, hybrid texts, veterinary sciences, economic sciences, translation for citizen security and translation for social affairs, audiovisual translation, para-translation, etc.). Next to these, research papers focused on different aspects of translation like theoretical essays and work on inter-language interpretation will also be accepted and assessed for publication. In short, the series Language, Literature, Translation aims to offer the specialized readers all theoretical and practical aspects hinging around the translation of texts and interpretation of speeches, so that they may contribute to the critical debate and the resulting enrichment of the discipline both in Spain and in the wider European context. La colección Lengua, Literatura, Traducción (LeLiTrad) reúne los distintos ámbitos relacionados con la traducción humanística y especializada desde una perspectiva multidisciplinar. En este sentido, abordamos desde esta colección la traducción literaria de obras desde presupuestos relacionados con la comparatística, el análisis del discurso, o la relación de la literatura con otras artes; por otro lado, la colección acoge trabajos sobre terminología, lingüística aplicada, y traducción especializada en sus múltiples ámbitos (jurídico, biosanitario, agroalimentario, técnico, textos híbridos, ciencias veterinarias, ciencias económicas, traducción para la inclusión, traducción para la seguridad de la ciudadanía y traducción social, traducción audiovisual, paratraducción, etc.). Junto a estos trabajos destinados a las distintas vertientes de la traducción también se contemplarán trabajos de tipo teórico sobre traductología e interpretación.En definitiva, la colección Lengua, Literatura, Traducción pretende mostrar todos los aspectos tanto teóricos como prácticos en torno a la traducción de los textos y a la interpretación de los discursos, de forma que contribuyan al debate crítico y al enriquecimiento de la disciplina dentro de España y en su contexto europeo.

In der Reihe «IRIS – Forschungen zur europäischen Kultur / Ricerche di cultura europea» werden Publikationen vorgelegt, die sich von einem komparatistischen bzw. rezeptionsgeschichtlichen Ansatz her mit historischen und aktuellen Fragen der europäischen Kultur auseinandersetzen. Außerdem werden Forschungen veröffentlicht, die im Rahmen und mit der spezifischen Methodologie ihres jeweiligen Fachgebietes die übernationale Dimension der europäischen Kulturtradition, Geschichte und Realität in ihre Untersuchungen miteinbezogen haben. Die Bücher der Reihe erscheinen in einer der europäischen Hauptsprachen.

Hybris: Literatura y Cultura Latinoamericanas

Since Ancient Greece and the classical era, philosophers, artists and critics have delved into the relationships between literature and other arts. First it was painting and plastic arts –ut pictura poesis, by Simónides de Ceos and Horacio–, later on music, architecture, theatrical representation, sculpture and already, in modern and contemporary times, photography, cinema, television, the mass media. At present this vast and stimulating field of cultural and artistic hybridizations has been completed with new technologies and all "transmedia narratives", generating concepts and transversal actions attached to digital creation and new communicative realities: touch-media, cross-media, intermediality, transmediality, hypertextuality, multimodality, etc. This collection, Hybris: Latin American Literature and Culture, intends, on the one hand, to investigate in the diachronic sense that these relationships have been emerging in the literary and cultural field, understood as aesthetic, practical, leveling and technical borrowing parameters between arts and, therefore the other, is to reflect from a philosophical, social, cultural and theoretical perspective on the possibilities offered by such hybridizations, always within a Latin American context. In classical mythology, Hybris was the goddess of excess, insolence, the absolute absence of moderation, and evoked the need to go beyond limits. This new concept of Hybris intends to insist on the mythological marks of transgression, erasing borders between the arts, shaking the tendency to subdivision and containment and, at the same time, it also demandings identification with the Latin term hybrida, which alludes to the racial or cultural mixing. Hybridization and symbiosis between arts will therefore be the outlines and contexts in which these studies will be invested. Desde la Antigua Grecia y la época clásica, filósofos, artistas y críticos han profundizado en las relaciones entre la literatura y otras artes. Primero fue la pintura y artes plásticas –ut pictura poesis, de Simónides de Ceos y Horacio–, más adelante la música, la arquitectura, la representación teatral, la escultura y ya, en la época moderna y contemporánea, la fotografía, el cine, la televisión, los mass media. En la actualidad este vasto y estimulante campo de hibridaciones culturales y artísticas se ha completado con las nuevas tecnologías y todas las "narrativas transmedia", generando conceptos y actuaciones transversales anejas a la creación digital y a las nuevas realidades comunicativas: touch-media, cross-media, intermedialidad, transmedialidad, hipertextualidad, multimodalidad, etc. Esta colección, Hybris: Literatura y Cultura Latinoamericanas, pretende, por un lado, indagar en el sentido diacrónico que estas relaciones han ido perfilando en el campo literario y cultural entendidos como parámetros estéticos, prácticos, de nivelación y préstamos técnicos entre artes y, por otro, reflexionar desde una perspectiva filosófica, social, cultural y teórica sobre las posibilidades que ofrecen tales hibridaciones, siempre dentro de un contexto latinoamericano. En la mitología clásica, Hybris era la diosa de la desmesura, la insolencia, la ausencia absoluta de moderación, y evocaba la necesidad de traspasar límites. Este nuevo concepto de Hybris pretende insistir en las marcas mitológicas de la transgresión, borrando fronteras entre las artes, sacudiendo la tendencia a la parcelación y a la contención y, a la vez, reclama también la identificación con el término latino hybrida, que alude a la mezcla de sangre. Hibridación y simbiosis entre artes serán, por tanto, los contornos y contextos en los que se imbricarán estos estudios.

The series provides a forum for interdisciplinary discussion of aspects of a cultural science-oriented economics. Representations of economic relationships in literature and other arts, cultural sociological studies on the relationship between art, culture and economics, linguistics and literary analysis of economic narratives and metaphors, and the importance of cultural studies concepts such as fictionality and virtuality in the context of financial economics are topics of the series. Also, studies on the design and manipulation of spaces, time management and cultural practices are within its scope. Manuscript Proposals may be submitted in literary and cultural studies, economics, sociology, and philosophy – like with comparative or interdisciplinary approach. The scholarly series Studies in Early Modern European Culture aims at publishing scholarly works in the areas of Venetian studies, early modern and modern history, and cultural studies. The publications in the series originate from research work conducted at the CIES (Center for Italian and European Studies), the Boston University research centre located in Padova, Italy. The series includes monographs in English and Italian which reflect the interdisciplinary activities of the CIES. In exceptional cases, the series will accept also works produced by scholars not working at, or affiliated with, CIES. Relaciones literarias en el ámbito Hispánico

Esta colección tiene por objetivo dar a conocer aportaciones novedosas en los ámbitos de la traducción y las relaciones interliterarias, tanto en lo que respecta a sus aspectos teóricos y metodológicos más generales como a sus plasmaciones en estudios concretos, tomando siempre como contexto de investigación el ámbito hispánico, en cualquier época histórica. Se pondrá el énfasis en las relaciones entre las literaturas ibéricas, las relaciones entre las literaturas americanas y las relaciones transatlánticas, además de la recepción de literatura extranjera en el contexto ibérico, intentando aglutinar un discurso crítico de carácter multidisciplinar que resulte una alternativa al hispanismo tradicional en su búsqueda de un marco auténticamente comparativo e intercultural. La colección acoge monografías, publicaciones colectivas, actas de congresos y adaptaciones de tesis doctorales en inglés, en castellano y otras lenguas peninsulares. The series “Münster Monographs on English Literature” comprises monographs on English Literature from its beginnings to the present day. Contributions in the field of literary theory, analyses of individual works, studies on literary tradition, on the interrelationship between literature and literary criticism, on the history of ideas and the history of science are all welcome. Monographs with a comparative and interdisciplinary approach would also fit in well with the spectrum of the series. The series lends itself to the publication in German or English. For the formal conventions of the text, we refer to the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers, 2nd ed. (New York, 1984). A special style sheet can also be provided upon request. Do ponto de vista dos estudos culturais, com foco especial em literatura e mídia, a série apresenta as principais questões e paradigmas dos estudos luso-brasileiros no circuito internacional. Ela também aborda fenômenos significativos das culturas lusófonas que têm recebido pouca atenção até o momento, especialmente a complexa dinâmica e os múltiplos entrelaçamentos das formas de expressão cultural surgidas a partir de intercâmbios transregionais e globais. Neste contexto as dimensões midiáticas das produções culturais são examinadas em suas respectivas configurações, considerando referências intertextuais, bem como contextos sociais, políticos e históricos. Levando em conta a crescente internacionalização dos estudos luso-brasileiros, a série abrange publicações em português, alemão e inglês. Aus kulturwissenschaftlicher Perspektive, unter besonderer Berücksichtigung der Literatur- und Medienwissenschaften, präsentiert die Schriftenreihe aktuelle Entwicklungen und Paradigmen der internationalen Lusitanistik. Sie erschließt auch signifikante Phänomene der portugiesischsprachigen Kulturen, die bislang wenig Beachtung finden, mit einem besonderen Augenmerk auf den komplexen Dynamiken und vielfältigen Verflechtungen kultureller Ausdruckformen, die aus transregionalen und globalen Austauschprozessen hervorgegangen sind bzw. durch diese entstehen. The object of these interdisciplinary series is above all studies from the Nordic countries which deal with questions in the field of literary, linguistic and cultural studies. Special emphasis is placed on phenomena of interculturality and transculturality respectively as well as on aspects of the teaching and learning of other languages. Against this background these series at the same time aim to close a gap between theory and practical use. Gegenstand der interdisziplinär angelegten Reihe sind Arbeiten vor allem aus den nordischen Ländern, die sich mit literatur-, sprach- und kulturwissenschaftlichen Fragestellungen beschäftigen. Ein besonderer Schwerpunkt liegt auf Phänomenen der Inter- bzw. Transkulturalität sowie auf Aspekten des Lehrens und Lernens anderer Sprachen. The focus of this series is on studies using the tenets of phenomenology and its various (dogmatic and skeptical) evolutions to elucidate and interpret primarily literary works of art in the contexts of aesthetics, ontology, epistemology, axiology, hermeneutics, communication, reader response, reception, cultural and social theory. Studies of a comparative nature which straddle and/or combine the disciplines of philosophical and literary studies are distinctive features of this monograph series. The books in the Modern American Literature: New Approaches series deal with many of the major writers known as American realists, modernists, and post-modernists from 1880 to the present. This category of writers will also include less known ethnic and minority writers, a majority of whom are African American, some are Native American, Mexican American, Japanese American, Chinese American, and others. The series might also include studies on well-known contemporary writers, such as James Dickey, Allen Ginsberg, Gary Snyder, John Barth, John Updike, and Joyce Carol Oates. In general, the series will reflect new critical approaches such as deconstructionism, new historicism, psychoanalytical criticism, gender criticism/feminism, and cultural criticism.

Die Buchreihe "Studien zur neueren Literatur" veröffentlicht Forschungsergebnisse aus dem Bereich der Germanistik und Vergleichenden Literaturwissenschaft, die sie in zwei Teilfolgen zur Diskussion stellt. Ein Teil ist Monographien vorbehalten, die ein breiteres Spektrum von literaturwissenschaftlichen Themen behandeln (Das literarische Nachtstück - Der Salon, ein kurhessisches Literaturblatt - Die chinesischen Gesandtschaftsberichte über Europa 1866 bis 1906 u.a.m.), ein anderer bietet in Sammelbänden Einzelstudien und Tagungsbeiträge (Literatur und Regionalität - Theater und Publikum im europäischen Barock - Europäische Aspekte der Aufklärung - Europäische Romane der Postmoderne u.a.m.). Die thematischen Schwerpunkte liegen in den Bereichen Neuere Deutsche Literatur und Europäische Literaturbeziehungen. The series "Debrecen studies on literature" publishes monographs and edited volumes in the fields of German studies and cultural studies in German and English. The series offers an overview of the Hungarian perspective on German literature on the one hand and deals with current issues in German studies on the other. Contextualising Literature and Media

The series was founded and edited by prof. Dorota Filipczak (1963–2021) until the publication of volume 2. The aim of the series is to introduce new, incisive analyses of literature and media in different cultural contexts. The series will focus on the phenomena that are inderdisciplinary and dissolve the boundary between literature and media such as film, music video, computer games etc. The idea behind the series is to show how our traditional understanding of literature can be transformed by the cultural, social and technological contexts. The successive studies will be informed by the scholarly background of contemporary literary theory and media studies, while seeking to relate literature and media to the challenges of contemporary world. The books published in the series will bridge the gap between diverse discourses and involve different fields of study, e.g. philosophy, gender studies, cultural studies etc.
