The Early American Literature and Culture series aims at providing a forum for discussions of interdisciplinary approaches to American literary culture in the broadest sense of the term. Scholars examine the formation, encoding, and transformation of value systems in literature and history, by analyzing the forces of the market place, gender politics, conquest and colonization, ethnicity, racialism, and genocide during the period of 1580-1880. Perspektiven auf Berufsbildung, Arbeit und Technik

Die Reihe Perspektiven auf Berufsbildung, Arbeit und Technik versteht sich als Forum berufspädagogischer, berufsdidaktischer und berufswissenschaftlicher Forschungen. Mit ihr wird die wissenschaftliche Auseinandersetzung mit Fragen zum Lernen und Lehren in der beruflichen Bildung genauso angesprochen wie die wissenschaftliche Beschäftigung mit der beruflichen Erwerbsarbeit und die darauf bezogene curriculare und didaktische Gestaltung der Aus- und Weiterbildung. Dies erfolgt in Betrachtungen über alle Lernorte der beruflichen Bildung in regionalen, nationalen und internationalen Kontexten sowie unter Berücksichtigung historischer Fragestellungen. Hochschuldidaktisch gestaltet die Lehrkräftebildung – als eine Voraussetzung für Qualität in der beruflichen Bildung – ebenfalls einen Diskursraum dieser Reihe.

Schriften zur diachronen und synchronen Linguistik

Die Reihe wurde von Professor Józef Grabarek (1948-2021) gegründet. In der Schriftenreihe sollen Monographien und Sammelbände zur diachronen und synchronen Linguistik, insbesondere zur jüngeren und jüngsten Geschichte des Deutschen und zu den Entwicklungstendenzen in der deutschen Gegenwartssprache erscheinen. Ein besonderes Interesse gilt Texten der ostmitteldeutschen deutschsprachigen Kanzleisprachen des Spätmittelalters und der Frühen Neuzeit. Die Reihe versteht sich als wissenschaftliches Forum für die Sprachforscher, die sich mit der Entstehungsgeschichte der neuhochdeutschen Sprachnorm und ihrem gegenwärtigen Zustand befassen. Es sollen Forschungsergebnisse zur Geschichte und Gegenwart der Orthographie, Phonologie, Morphologie, Wortbildung sowie Satz- und Textsyntax des Deutschen den Lesern zugänglich gemacht werden.

The series brings together contemporary research within the field of computer assisted language learning. The range of topics includes all areas pertaining to CALL methodology: corpora in language learning and teaching, computer mediated communication (CMC) in language pedagogy, intercultural language learning and teacher training, virtual language learning environments and management systems, digital course design, mobile learning and many others. Volumes in the series should be of interest to researchers within the fields of applied linguistics and communication studies. The series Studies in Computer Assisted Language Learning will publish monographs (including also outstanding dissertations) and thematic collective volumes by scholars from Poland and abroad. The language of the series is English.

Interfaces

The series explores issues in theoretical and applied linguistics, psycholinguistics, psychology of language and translation studies. While the volumes published in the series may present research in language, mind and translation seen as separate provenances, the overall aim of the series is to pinpoint possible interfaces occurring between them (for example between psycholinguistics and translation studies, psycholinguistics and cognitive linguistics, cognitive linguistics and translation, etc.) as well as to uncover mutual interaction between these branches of science and other research areas, such as philosophy, media studies, education, multimodality and culture. The books within the series focus primarily on linguistics, which remains the main theme of the series, but they also include a wide range of topics traditionally investigated by a number of neighbouring disciplines, which are interwoven with language studies and inscribe within a wider framework of contemporary linguistics. The series presents studies conducted by Polish scholars, in particular by those affiliated with Bydgoszcz, and by our colleagues and research partners representing other universities. We also welcome submissions (monographs, collections of articles and post-conference volumes) from all those interested in issues remaining within the broad scope of the series themes. New International Insights/Nouveaux Regards sur l’International

En hommage au fondateur de l’ancienne collection Regards sur l’international, Eric REMACLE, les éditeurs ont proposé de le renommer New International Insights. Leur objectif consiste à inviter les auteurs potentiels à considérer les situations, les études de cas et les dynamiques qu'ils souhaitent analyser et conceptualiser comme innovantes dans un ordre mondial de plus en plus multipolaire, plus que comme une simple continuation des évolutions et des théories passées. C'est l'approche qui caractérise les propres recherches des éditeurs. Plus d'un quart de siècle après la fin de la guerre froide, les innovations constantes eurasiennes, transatlantiques, africaines, asiatiques-pacifiques et panaméricaines remettent en question les conclusions les plus analytiques presque aussitôt qu'elles ont été formulées. Pourtant, il y a un besoin de théorie. Les exemples dépasseraient le cadre de cette brève présentation, mais une illustration valable peut être suggérée: le tournant par lequel une Asie sino-post-soviétique déjà innovante s'est révélée capable, tout en étant au stade de sa première affirmation, d’engager l'Asie du Sud et de construire une relation triangulaire Chine-Russie-India qui bouscule, voire remet en question la plupart des visions existantes de l’Asie, notamment les visions néoréalistes. Les visions traditionnelles cèdent ainsi aux incertitudes contemporaines. Alors que les acteurs non-étatiques provoquent toujours le recul, le retrait ou le trébuchement des États, de nouvelles constructions trans-nationales et même trans-continentales, font «　revenir　» les États, même si c’est autour d’objectifs différents: logistiques et commerciaux, tandis que la coopération militaire apparaît comme une forme datée et remise en question de mise en œuvre de la sécurité . New International Insights vise à équilibrer les publications de livres d'auteurs de toutes origines intellectuelles, occidentales et orientales, d’auteurs du Nord et du Sud. Ce n’est qu’ainsi que l’on pourra espérer faire avancer la vision de ses premiers fondateurs. Un monde post-moderne a besoin d’une épistémologie post-occidentale pour dévoiler sa nouvelle signification. Les manuscrits en science politique et en sciences sociales sont invités à être soumis, de préférence en anglais, entre 450 000 et 650 000 signes, notes et annexes comprises. * * * In tribute to the late founder of the collection, Eric Remacle, the editors have proposed to call this book series New International Insights. The novelty thus pursued consists of inviting prospective authors also to view the situations, case-studies and dynamics they analyse and conceptualise as innovative in an increasingly multipolar world order, more than as a mere continuation of past evolutions and theories. This is the approach characterising the editors' own research. Over a quarter of a century after the end of the cold war, Eurasian as well as Transatlantic, African, Asian-Pacific and pan-American constant innovations question most analytical conclusions almost as soon as they are reached. Yet, there is a need for theory. Examples would exceed the scope of this short presentation but a worthwhile illustration can be suggested: the turning point whereby an already innovative, sino-postsoviet Asia has proven capable, while still in its affirmative stage, to engage South Asia and construct a China-Russia-India triangle that offsets or even jeopardises most existing visions of Asia, notably neo-realist ones. Traditional visions thus yield to contemporary uncertainties. While non-State actors are still causing States to wither, withdraw or falter, new transnational and even transcontinental constructions are bringing States back in, however much around different objectives: logistical and commercial, while military cooperation appears a dated and questionable form of security enforcement. New International Insights aims at balancing book publications among authors of all intellectual origins, western as well as eastern, northern as well as southern. Only in this manner can it hope to take the vision of its early founders one step further. A post-modern world needs post-western epistemology in order to wield its new meaning. Die Reihe Studien zu Neuen Geisteswissenschaften widmet sich den Methoden, Ansätzen und Paradigmen der Neuen Geisteswissenschaften sowie den unidisziplinären Praktiken der geisteswissenschaftlichen Auseinandersetzung mit der Kulturpraxis. Wichtige Forschungsaspekte sind hierbei Fragen nach Inter- Intra- und Transdisziplinärem und gegenwärtige Einflüsse von Disziplinen, Paradigmen und Methoden auf wissenschaftliche Tätigkeit. Darüber hinaus werden in die Reihe auch metatheoretische Arbeiten aufgenommen, die aus der aktuellen Sicht neue Perspektiven von Themen und Problemfeldern aufgreifen.

Professor Hans-Jörg Schwenk (1959–2020) und Professor Janusz Golec haben die Reihe „Lubliner Beiträge zur Germanistik und Angewandten Linguistik” mitbegründet und bis zur Veröffentlichung des Bandes Nr. 14 mitherausgegeben. In der Reihe werden Arbeiten zur Literatur-, Kultur- und Sprachwissenschaft, sowie zur Fremdsprachendidaktik und angewandten Linguistik veröffentlicht. Die Schriftenreihe erscheint seit dem Jahr 2013 und präsentiert aktuelle Forschungsergebnisse in diesen Bereichen. Sie umfasst Monographien und Sammelbände über einzelne Autorinnen und Autoren, Gattungen und Themen aus dem Gebiet der deutschsprachigen Literatur- und Kulturgeschichte. Der Schwerpunkt linguistischer Reflexion in der Reihe liegt auf der eingehenden Erörterung applikativer Fragen, die in den Teilgebieten der Linguistik thematisiert werden. Die Reihe bietet auch Studien über die Relationen Sprache –Text – Diskurs an. Forschungen zum aktuellen Kino oder digitalen Fernsehen sind von daher ebenso willkommen wie Studien, die eine neue Perspektive auf kanonisierte literarische Texte früherer Epochen richten. In Zeiten der zunehmenden Zergliederung der Romania in Einzeldisziplinen, wie Hispanistik, Italianistik oder Galloromanistik will die Reihe gerade den Zusammenhalt der Romania betonen. So ergibt sich eine überaus breite Perspektive, die alle romanischen Kulturen umfasst.Die Reihe will das Desiderat transmedialer und epistemologischer Forschungen zu literarischen, filmischen und televisuellen Produkten der Romania erfüllen. Romania Viva se entiende como contribución inovadora a la ciencia de la literatura, cultura y de los medios románicos. La colección se dedica a los artes literarios, fílmicos y televisivos en toda su diversidad. En este sentido, se agradecen investigaciones sobre la literatura, el cine actual y la televisión digital al igual que estudios que se dirigen a una persepectiva nueva sobre textos literarios canonizados de épocas tempranas. En tiempos de una fragmentación creciente de la cultura de las lenguas romances en sus disciplinas individuales como la Hispanística, la Italianística o la Galoromanística, la colección intenta subrayar precisamente la unión de la cultura de las lenguas romances. De aquí resulta una perspectiva amplia, que considera todas la culturas románicas. La colección Romania Viva quiere cumplir con la desiderata de investigaciones transmediales y epistemológicas sobre productos literarios, fílmicos y televisivos de la cultura románica.
