Im Kontext kulturwissenschaftlicher Forschung setzt sich die Reihe “Dialoghi / Dialogues“ aus dem Gebiet der Romanistik mit der Literatur und Kultur Frankreichs und Italiens auseinander. Dabei werden sowohl Studien zu Einzelpersonen wie z.B. Machiavelli, Casanova und Maria de' Medici als auch zu historischen und literaturwissenschaftlichen Themenstellungen veröffentlicht. Das Alte Testament im Dialog / An Outline of an Old Testament Dialogue

This series intends to promote and stimulate the scientific dialogue between the Old Testament and its interrelated subjects. The interest is focused on the relationship between the Old Testament and the New Testament and on its relationship with the human sciences. In addition to theology, anthropology and ethics and aside from areas relating to psychology, pedagogy, sociology, economics, historiography, music and linguistics, there are some important points of reference to scientific questions, including medicine. This international series will publish not only monographs and conference volumes but also theses and dissertations in German, English, Italian and Romanian. Of vital importance is the desire that these volumes address themselves not exclusively to specialists, but to the general interested reader. Diese Reihe will den wissenschaftlichen Dialog zwischen dem Alten Testament und benachbarten Fächern fördern. Im Mittelpunkt des Interesses stehen der weit verzweigte Dialog zum Neuen Testament sowie die wechselseitige Beziehung mit den Humanwissenschaften, die durch die Vielschichtigkeit des Alten Testaments hervorgerufen wird. Dazu gehören neben der Theologie, Anthropologie und Ethik auch Gebiete wie Psychologie, Pädagogik, Soziologie, Ökonomie, Geschichtsschreibung, Musikwissenschaften und Sprachforschung. Aber auch zu naturwissenschaftlichen Fragen wie beispielsweise in der Medizin gibt es einige wichtige Bezugspunkte. In diese international ausgerichtete Reihe werden sowohl Monographien und Tagungsbände als auch Dissertationen und Habilitationen in deutscher, englischer, italienischer und rumänischer Sprache aufgenommen. Ein wichtiges Anliegen ist es, dass sich die Bände nicht ausschliesslich an Fachleute richten, sondern eine breitere wissenschaftlich interessierte Leserschaft ansprechen.

Humanistas españoles

La colección Humanistas españoles está dedicada desde 1991 a la edición textos de autores del Humanismo de los siglos XVI y XVII, ya sean españoles o tengan una relación, por su vida o por su obra, con España. Los autores y obras, en lengua latina o en castellana, que componen esta colección son inéditos o solo conocidos por ediciones de la época humanística. Por ello se presenta una edición crítica, acompañada de traducción en caso de tratarse de una obra en latín, con introducción sobre el autor y la obra, con dos tipos de notas, unas paleográficas y textuales, y otras con abundantes comentarios de contenido. Cada monografía se completa con sus correspondientes índices de antropónimos, topónimos y pasajes citados. La localización y estudio de manuscritos y ediciones en archivos y bibliotecas ha permitido recuperar y editar, de manera accesible, obras y autores poco conocidos de notable influjo cultural en España y Europa.

Tandis que les principales religions traditionnelles du monde semblent confrontées à une crise identitaire et culturelle fondamentale, on voit partout se manifester une renaissance des besoins de spiritualité et de nouvelles pratiques religieuses. Quelles sont les motivations des hommes et des femmes qui soutiennent ces nouvelles tendances ? Assistons-nous à la naissance d’une nouvelle religiosité humaine ? Cette collection a pour but de rassembler les travaux de témoins, penseurs, croyants et incroyants, historiens, spécialistes des religions, théologiens, psychologues, sociologues, philosophes et écrivains, tous issus de différentes cultures et différentes langues, pour offrir une perspective plus large sur l’un des problèmes clés de la civilisation universelle que nous sommes en train de construire.

Lisbon Philosophical Studies – Uses of Language in Interdisciplinary Fields is the book series of the Institute of Philosophy of Language at the New University of Lisbon. Its aim is the publication of high-quality monographs, edited collections and conference proceedings in areas related to the philosophy of language, such as aesthetics, argumentation theory, epistemology, ethics, logic, philosophy of mind and political philosophy. The purpose of the series is to reflect the activities of the Institute as well as contemporary research in these areas, encouraging the interchange of arguments and ideas between philosophy and other disciplines.

This series emphasizes issues in contemporary systematic theology but is open to theological issues from the past. Works in this series seek to explore such issues as the relation of reason and revelation, experience and doctrine, the meaning of revelation, method in theology, Trinitarian Theology, the doctrine of God, Christology, sacraments and the Church. Of course other issues such as ecumenical relations or specific doctrinal studies on topics such as predestination or studies evaluating particular influential theologians may be considered. Authors whose work is critical, constructive, and ecumenical are encouraged to consider this series. One of the aims of this series is to illustrate that Christian systematic theologians from different denominations may seek and find Christian unity through dialogue on those central issues that unite them in their quest for truth. The Studies in Episcopal and Anglican Theology series endeavors to tap into both established and emerging scholars to engage with theological issues that reflect the breadth of thought in their particular Christian traditions. As we move through the early years of the 21st century, it is clear that there have been numerous theological issues and controversies that have occupied the energy and imagination of members of all Christian denominations, including the Episcopal Church and the worldwide Anglican Communion. Monographs, revised dissertations, and compilations of essays addressing issues of ecumenical and interfaith relations, as well as human sexuality and gender equality, authority of scripture and ecclesial structures, ministry theory and praxis, sacramental theology, and religious foundations for social advocacy are especially appropriate for the series.

German Visual Culture

This series invites research on all aspects of German visual culture – including art, architecture, film and media – across different periods, geographical locations, and political contexts. Books in the series engage with aesthetic and ideological continuities as well as ruptures and divergences between individual creators, movements, educational systems, art institutions, and cultures of display. Challenging scholarship that interrogates and updates existing orthodoxies in the field is desirable. A guiding question of the series is the impact of German visual culture on critical and public spheres, both inside and outside the German-speaking world. Reception is thus conceived in the broadest possible terms, including both the ways in which visual culture has been perceived and defined as well as the ways in which modern and contemporary German creators have undertaken visual dialogues with their predecessors or contemporaries. The series welcomes cross-disciplinary approaches from art history, anthropology, material culture; the histories of science, perception, medicine, and technology; and the history of ideas. Issues of cultural transfer, critical race theory and related postcolonial analysis, feminism, queer theory, and other interdisciplinary approaches are encouraged, as are studies on production and consumption, the art market, pioneering publishing houses, and the mass media, including film and illustrated magazines. All proposals for monographs and edited collections in the history of German visual culture will be considered. Contributions in English and German are welcome. Submissions are subject to rigorous peer review. Professor Christian Weikop served as series editor from 2018 to 2025, with forthcoming titles still to publish in 2026. During this time as editor, he connected his Research Forum for German Visual Culture at the University of Edinburgh with the series.
