Fem-Mobilities: Feminismos y Movilidades

Contemporary migrations take place within the framework of varied geographical, social and symbolic mobilities with strong implications in terms of inequality and global stratification. Throughout history, women have always migrated, but their presence has been invisible or shown in a selective, partial and biased way (Morokvasic, 2011), which presents them more as dependents, sufferers and victims, than as protagonists of the migration. After decades of struggle for the development and implantation of feminist and gender studies in academia and the impact of the broad women's movement at a global level, today we are witnessing the consolidation of a "field" of studies, that of "gender and gender. migrations ». Feminist approaches have provided a set of concepts and categories of analysis that have contributed to restoring the agency of women in general, and in particular, the agency of migrant women. The diverse feminist perspectives allow us to understand how migrations politically, historically and contextually produce gender, the factors of production of political, economic and socio-cultural inequalities that affect the lives of migrant women, as well as the variety of their experiences, their positions and their identities. The FEM-MOBILITIES series is a space for the publication of works that focus on these feminist themes, approaches and perspectives on migration and refuge, with the aim of constituting a place for dialogue and debate, but also for constructive controversy around to the main axes of production of inequality and the ways to combat them. Las migraciones contemporáneas tienen lugar en el marco de movilidades geográficas, sociales y simbólicas variadas con fuertes implicaciones en términos de desigualdad y de estratificación global. A lo largo de la historia, las mujeres siempre han migrado, pero su presencia ha sido invisibilizada o mostrada de manera selectiva, parcial y sesgada (Morokvasic, 2011), lo que las presentan más como dependientes, sufrientes y víctimas, que como protagonistas de la migración. Tras décadas de lucha para el desarrollo e implantación de los estudios feministas y de género en la academia y de la incidencia del movimiento amplio de mujeres a nivel global, hoy asistimos a la consolidación de un «campo» de estudios, el de «género y migraciones». Los enfoques feministas han proporcionado un conjunto de conceptos y categorías de análisis que han contribuido a restituir en general la agencia de las mujeres, y en particular, la agencia de las mujeres migrantes. Las diversas perspectivas feministas nos permitan entender cómo las migraciones producen de manera política, histórica y contextual el género, los factores de producción de desigualdades políticas, económicas y socioculturales que inciden en la vida de las mujeres migrantes, así como la variedad de sus experiencias, sus posiciones y sus identidades. La serie FEM-MOBILITIES es un espacio para la publicación de obras que se centren en estos temas, enfoques y perspectivas feministas de las migraciones y el refugio con el objetivo de constituir un lugar de diálogo y de debate, pero también de controversia constructiva en torno a los principales ejes de producción de desigualdad y las formas de combatirlos.

Moving Texts/Testi mobili questions Italian memory and identity from the perspective of literary and media studies, providing a forum for discussions on major research topics, including migration and mobility studies, cultural studies, cultural memory studies, film studies, translation studies and studies on linguistic attitudes and sociolinguistic changes. Moving Texts/Testi mobili is open to research conducted within established and emerging fields of investigation. It specifically promotes multi-perspective, multi-disciplinary and inter-medial approaches. The series uses double-blind peer review and is supported by an international advisory board. Proposals in Italian, French or English are welcome both for the main series (monographs and edited volumes), and for Moving Texts/Testi Mobili – Tandem, the sub-series for conjoined essays by two different authors. Potential contributors are invited to submit a book proposal consisting of an outline, a sample chapter and a CV. Language, Migration and Identity

This series fills a hitherto neglected but now growing area in the treatment of migration: the role of language and identity. This topic is central in a globalized world where the definition of community is constantly challenged by the increased mobility of individuals. Linked to this mobility is the issue of identity construction, in which language plays a key role. Language practices are indicators of the socialization process in bilingual and multilingual settings, and part of the strategies by which speakers assert membership within social groups. Migrant speakers are constantly engaged in identity construction in varying settings. Language, Migration and Identity invites proposals for revised dissertations, monographs and edited volumes on language practices and language use by migrant speakers. A wide range of themes is envisaged, within the area of migration, but from a broadly linguistic perspective. The series welcomes studies of migrant communities and their language practices, studies of language practices in multilingual educational settings, and case studies of identity building among migrants through language use. Proposals might focus on topics such as second language acquisition in social contexts, variation in L2 speech, multilingualism, acquisition of sociolinguistic competence, hybridity and ‘crossing’ in relation to identity. A multiplicity of approaches in the treatment of this interdisciplinary area will be welcome, from quantitative to ethnographic to mixed methods. The series welcomes established scholars as well as early career academics and recent PhD research.

Telecollaborative learning and Virtual Exchange in Education

This series focuses on the pedagogical processes and learning outcomes nof engaging learners from diverse cultural and geographical backgrounds in online contact and collaboration for educational purposes. Emphasis is placed on innovative teaching and learning practices that leverage modern digital communication technologies to facilitate interaction, collaboration and intercultural learning. The activity is referred to in different academic contexts as Virtual Exchange, Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), telecollaboration, Global International Teams and e-tandem among others. The series editors welcome proposals from authors using any of these different terms. Proposals related to Blended Mobility initiatives which combine online collaborative learning with short periods of physical mobility are also encouraged.　 "Telecollaborative learning and Virtual Exchange in Education" deals with the application of these practices in different subject areas (e.g. Foreign Languages, History, Science) and in different educational contexts, including but not limited to primary, secondary, university and adult education.　 A major aim of the series is to reflect the diversity of research and practice in this area of knowledge, providing a space for transversal dialogue among teachers and teacher trainers, administrators, researchers, and educators working in different subject areas as well as various areas of education. Publications within the series include scholarly monographs and edited volumes as well as cutting-edge projects that exemplify good practice in the application of distanced collaborative efforts. Digital Learning and the Future

This interdisciplinary book series examines the use of digital technology in education. It is part of an unfolding educational agenda around technology-enhanced learning, where technology is both blended as a tool within existing pedagogies and drives new pedagogies. The series looks to the future, to emerging technologies and methodologies. Areas of interest include educational futures and future pedagogies, pedagogy and globalization (including MOOC), mobile learning, edtech, technology in assessment, the use of AI in education, and technology and face-to-face blended learning. The series encourages proposals for short-format books (between 25,000 and 50,000 words) with the aim of responding quickly to this rapidly changing field. Short monographs, co-authored or edited collections, case studies, practical guides and more are also all welcome.

The set of European institutions that have now functioned in the continent for over half a century have created new broadened frames of reference for a variety of social actors. The most comprehensive is the European Union, which can be characterised as a multilevel polity. The other organisations, such as the Council of Europe and OSCE, also contribute significantly to the new mode of relations in Europe. This has in turn influenced how social and political actors act and define their roles. European integration has changed the functioning of states, their sovereignty and the meaning and status of borders, as well as the nature of citizenship. It has also allowed social actors to be engaged in the increasingly transnationalised public sphere and therefore changed the analysis of the concept of civil society. In addition, it profoundly impacts the life of individuals, permitting spatial and social mobility along with reconstruction of collective identity and memory. This series welcomes book proposals that look at the political and social aspects of human activities in the broadest terms but analysed from the perspective of how these processes are transformed as a result of European integration. The series is open to work emerging from research cooperation between Polish and foreign scholars. Authors are welcome to submit manuscripts of monographs, collected volumes, and post-conference volumes. Outstanding dissertations will also be considered for publication.

The "Worlds of Portuguese Language" series encompasses different cultural domains related to the Portuguese language without restrictions of thematic, historical or geographical kind. The underlining notion of language is that of a space of deconstruction, conducive to a broader reflection on spatial and temporal correlations, forms of porosity, mobility and exchange within a broad thematic and disciplinary horizon. To promote interdisciplinarity for a global understanding of cultural phenomena is one of our main concerns. From intercultural and plurilingual heritage, and their embodiment of a certain idea of ​​translation, to visual and performing arts, the series welcomes reflections on the text in its different literary modes (whether lyrical, narrative or dramatic) and on inter-artistic approaches which bring together different semiotic systems. Questions arising from postcolonial and postdictatorial memory will put in perspective major research topics related to the representation of the physical and social body, migration and new approaches to pedagogy and teaching. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mundos de língua portuguesa é uma coleção que tem por vocação abordar os diversos domínios culturais em ligação com a língua portuguesa sem restrição temática, temporal ou geográfica. A língua é aqui concebida como um espaço de desconstrução, propício a uma reflexão alargada sobre as mobilidades espácio-temporais, as porosidades, os intercâmbios e as comunicações num largo horizonte temático e disciplinar. O objetivo é o de valorizar a interdisciplinaridade visando uma compreensão global dos fenómenos culturais. As heranças interculturais e plurilingues, as suas relações com uma ideia da tradução são abordadas assim como as artes visuais e de cena, o texto nos seus diferentes modos (lírico, narrativo, dramático), abrindo para uma abordagem interartística que engloba vários sistemas semióticos. A partir das questões da memória pós-colonial e pós-ditatorial são postas em perspetiva temáticas que desenvolvem as representações do corpo físico e social, as migrações assim como as novas abordagens de pedagogia e de ensino. Mondes de langue portugaise est une collection qui a pour vocation d’aborder les divers domaines culturels en lien avec la langue portugaise sans restriction thématique, temporelle ou géographique. La langue est ici conçue comme espace de déconstruction, propice à une réflexion élargie sur les mobilités spatio-temporelles, les porosités, les échanges et les communications dans un large horizon thématique et disciplinaire. L’objectif est de valoriser l’interdisciplinarité pour une compréhension globale des phénomènes culturels.
