This collection of discussions on diverse topics connects relevant fields in the sciences and humani- ties in order to update the norms regulating interactions between individuals and societies for the twenty-first century and beyond. A native of Belgrade, JOVAN BRKIĆ received his Ph.D. from Columbia University in New York City. He is Professor Emer- itus at North Dakota State University. He is a past member of the American Philosophical Association, the American Society for Political and Legal Philosophy and of the Amer- ican Association of University Professors. Brkić is a past president of the North Dakota Chapter of the American Asso- ciation of University Professors and a recipient of its Distinguished Service Award. His major publications include Moral Concepts in Traditional Serbian Epic Poetry, Norm and Order: An Investigation into Logic, Semantics, and the Theory of Law and Morals, and Legal Reasoning: Semantic and Logical Analysis....
