· 3 · two sexual -affective relationship models Traditional and Alternative Taking the above -mentioned contexts and theories into consideration, I ana- lyze the two sexual -affective relationship models that serve as references for my research. Although based on actual behavior, these models are theoret- ical “ideal” creations that aim to bring us closer to two opposing models of behavior. Therefore, my analysis does not examine whether the models are followed, it only aims to determine whether society is moving closer to them and which of their characteristics are most evident. One model is historical and quite common. I criticize this model’s founda- tions due to its values and consequences. By contrast, we defend the other model on the basis of its foundation due to its resulting values and effects. Whereas the historical model is based on values from the past, the second model seeks a better future based on the new values of an emerging society. Whereas the historical model is fed by traditional teaching and mixed schools, the new model promotes learning based on egalitarian dialogue and coeducation1. Whereas the traditional model reflects the characteristics of a hierarchical social and educational model that separates the different educational agents, the alternative model is framed in a horizontal egalitarian model that com- bines the efforts of all educational agents in the search for a shared objective.
