LISTENING AND LEARNING FROM COUNTERNARRATIVES
Moving From Idealism Towards Hope
Narratives shape how people see the world and direct peoples’ actions. I began this research as a second-year TFAGP CM to better understand both the challenges CMs faced and why CMs struggled to narrate their lived experiences. With a focus on CMs as applied developmentalists, I listened for specific, immediate ways TFAGP could better supports CMs. The majority of my initial takeaways focused on what I viewed as urgent, individual-level, actionable steps for TFA (see Appendix D).
