Kimberly Abbott is the Vice President of Communications at World Learning, a nonprofit organization advancing leadership through education, development, and exchange in more than 60 countries. She was previously Communications Director for North America at the International Crisis Group and a journalist at CNN. She may be contacted @kimberlymabbott.

Stuart Allan is Professor of Journalism and Communication, as well as Deputy Head of School (Academic), in the School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies (JOMEC) at Cardiff University, UK. Stuart’s books include Citizen Witnessing: Revisioning Journalism in Times of Crisis, as well as the edited The Routledge Companion to News and Journalism, and Citizen Journalism: Global Perspectives, Volume 2. He is currently engaged in research examining citizens’ uses of digital imagery in news reporting, while also writing a historiography of war photography.
