WHAT ARE SOME ETHICAL CHALLENGES IN THE QUEST FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE AND PERSONAL IDENTITY DEVELOPMENT, AND HOW CAN STUDENTS RESOLVE THEM?
We have to break out of the dualistic oppressor/oppressed mindset and see the capacities for justice among “oppressors,” as well as the capacity for injustice among the “oppressed.” We need to focus on the power all of us have and use it to create relationships of mutuality and respect.
