G-20: Critical View and Evaluation of Australian Summit

The foundation of the G-20, that represents two of three of world’s population, 75% of the world’s trade and 85% of the global economic magnitude, was laid in France in 1975 (Eryar 2014). At the beginning, the group in which Treasury secretaries and Central Bank presidents gathered, started to be gathered on the leaders’ level after the 2008 crisis. The G-20 gathers the leaders of the most developed and developing economies of the world to discuss global economic difficulties. The G-20 consists of 19 countries and the European Union. The leaders of the G-20 economies gather every year whereas Treasury secretaries and Central Bank presidents gather many times in a year. As it was seen from the reaction it gave to the global economical crisis in 2008, the G-20 can operate determining activities to develop wealth levels of the people.
