This volume is a collection of the research papers presented at the colloquium Baltic Business Development, which took place in the environment of the 3rd international conference Economies of Central and Eastern Europe (ECEE) in Tallinn in 2012. The colloquium was organised by Tallinn School of Economics and Business Administration of Tallinn University of Technology in cooperation with Hamburg University of Technology and the Baltic-German University Liaison Office in Riga. The colloquium offered a great platform for promoting cooperation and for disseminating knowledge and experience on the development of international business in the Baltic Sea Region in the frame of the Baltic Sea Strategy and the Agenda EU2020.

This volume is the collection of the research papers presented at the colloquium "Baltic Business Development", which was held in Tallinn on 19th of June 2012. The colloquium was organised by Tallinn School of Economics and Business Administration of Tallinn University of Technology in cooperation with Hamburg University of Technology. The colloquium has been supported by the Baltic-German University Liaison Office. This generous support has helped to bring together academics and specialists from business and academic areas for an exchange of their knowledge and experience. The aim of the colloquium was to provide a forum for discussions of issues related to the assessment of business development in the Baltic Sea Region (BSR) coinciding with the end of the German Presidency in the Council of Baltic Sea States (CBSS) in June 2012. The colloquium was honoured by the appearance and the presentation "The Baltic Sea Region at the end of the German presidency of the Baltic Sea Council" of his Excellency the German Ambassador in Estonia Mr. Christian-Matthias Schlaga. The colloquium provided the participants a great platform for establishing contacts, promoting cooperation within joint projects and research networking and for disseminating knowledge and experience on international business and university - business interaction in the frame of the Baltic Sea Strategy and the Agenda EU2020. The colloquium was placed in the environment of the 3rd international conference "Economies of Central and Eastern Europe (ECEE)" also organised by Tallinn School of Economics and Business Administration.
