Dieser Sammelband geht von der Hauptthese des Konstruktiven Realismus aus – wir konstruieren Realität. Hier wird sie von Autoren aus verschiedenen wissenschaftlichen Disziplinen und sehr unterschiedlichen Kulturen aufgebaut. Dem Gründer des philosophischen Ansatzes Professor Dr. Friedrich Wallner (Universität Wien) ist diese Festschrift anlässlich seines 70. Geburtstags gewidmet.
First I want to state that I am proud and glad to know Prof. Wallner personally. It was just at random that I got into contact with him and his theories. Some years ago, it may be in 2008, when I was in Ingolstadt for a competition in Korean martial arts, I had time enough to go downtown. There I discovered a big bookstore and I decided to have a look at the books concerning Chinese Medicine. Amongst other books concerning different aspects of Chinese Medicine I found Fritz Wallner’s work “Traditionelle Chinesische Medizin – eine alternative Denkweise”. I was attracted by the title and I began to read the book in the coffee shop of the bookstore, some chapters only and then I had to buy it. In the end I was fascinated by the theories the author developed. So I wrote a recension (5 stars) in amazon and wrote an e-mail to Prof. Wallner. He was so kind to answer me and he spontaneously invited me for the Congress in Vienna “Chinese Medicine and Intercultural Philosophy” (2010) as a speaker. This was an extraordinarily important experience for me.
In 2010 I completed my second doctoral dissertation which was about the Chinese concept of the Kidney and its comparison to the kidney in western medicine. This is a rather difficult and delicate subject if not to say it is a bold venture because one makes a comparison between the western and the Chinese way of thinking....
