Chapter Four: Life is light: quantum unfolding of reality
Analizowanie nowego z pozycji dawnych teorii w nauce, teorii już zakwalifikowanych jako obiegowe, jest tutaj nieporozumieniem. The scientific analysis of the new, done from the standpoint of the old scientific theories circulating in the mainstream science, is a misunderstanding (W. Sedlak, 1988: 12; English translation – M.B.-T.).
The process of life is one of the oldest and most widely contemplated upon topics in science. The 20th century scientific plane became promising and comfortable in this respect, as we gained functional scientific tools enabling us to begin analysing layers of life that to this point had only been accessible to philosophers, mystics and poets through phenomenological, first-person experiences. Now, with developments in quantum mechanics and attempts at quantum ontology, the multidimensional nature of life can be approached multidisciplinarily. The methodological holism can be pursued within the framework of the scientific method. Philosophers are met at the task by forefront physicists and forefront biologists, ready to cross their safe monodisciplinary fields. The boundaries of the scientific method are shifting as a natural consequence.
