During the Archdiocese Salzburg’s reconstruction period after World War II (1945–1968), Archbishop Andreas Rohracher had an outstanding role. He was involved in every pathbreaking decision. During his reign the pastoral care in the Archdiocese was secured, the Church attended to its educational mandate, the Department of Theology and the Seminar were reopened and the diocese’s fortune was restored.
