La macroestructura y la microestructura en el Diccionario Panhispánico de Dudas
Abstract: In the I Spanish Language International Conference celebrated in Mexico in 1997 it was brought up the necessity of a work which would allow doubts’ solving without looking up other academic normative pieces of work (the Dictionary, the Orthography and the Grammar). The dictionary’s basic text was approved in a joint session of the Real Academia Española and the Asociación de Academias celebrated in Spain the 13th October 2004. In October 2005 the Real Academia de la Lengua published the Diccionario panhispánico de dudas. Since the Real Academia Española establishment in 1713, this institution has aimed its works to be normative in order to ensure the idiomatic union and to bring this unification closer to what according to the institution was considered the educated language. Due to its academic nature, this normative character is present in the DPD. The purpose of this study is, on the one hand, to get to know the information in this work (DPD), to see if it presents itself coherently to the reader and to value its usefulness for the user. On the other hand, it intends to value its normative character. An analysis of the employed sources in the dictionary’s confection is carried out too. Finally, the dictionary’s current validity is also set out by taking into account the new academic normative products.
