Ewa Zebrowska, Mariola Jaworska and Dirk Steinhoff

This volume encompasses contributions of the 47th Linguistics Colloquium at the University of Olsztyn (Poland) concerning the Materiality and Mediality of Linguistic Communication. In the last two decades, linguists have expressed a growing interest in the increasing presence of the media in all areas of life. Against this background, linguistic utterances in their communicative, functional, medial and cultural context have become subjects of research.
