Summary

This book presents the outcome of research concerning farmers’ preferences for different agricultural land use and agri-environmental attributes in the northern part of Tajikistan. The study was carried out within the DAAD-funded CLINCA (Climate Change Network for Central Asia) project. The results of this study reveal the existence of preference heterogeneity amongst farmers in the study area, showing that a decision for land allocation under different crops is jointly associated with other socio-economic and environmental factors.
