This book will treat Jakob Wassermann's «Andergast Trilogy» and the concept of justice. Throughout his life Wassermann was concerned with this vital issue of justice in its manifold aspects. The «Andergast Trilogy» is the author's final testament in which he sets down his ultimate credo. The question of justice in these novels will be examined in the light of the historical, social and political issues of the time.
