The Editors: Masachiyo Amano is professor at Nagoya University (Japan), and the president of the English Linguistic Society, Japan. His interests focus on generative grammar, systematic functional grammar, and the history of English. Michiko Ogura is professor at Chiba University (Japan). Her field of research is medieval English syntax and word study. Masayuki Ohkado is professor at Chubu University (Japan). His main research interests are historical and comparative syntax.
