The Editors: Toru Kiuchi, Associate Professor of English at Nihon University in Japan, is the editor of A Bibliography of African American Literature, the Japanese version of this bibliography. Robert J. Butler, Professor of English at Canisius College in Buffalo, New York, is the author of Native Son: The Emergence of a New Black Hero and Contemporary African American Fiction: The Open Journey. He is also the editor of The Critical Response to Richard Wright. Yoshinobu Hakutani, Professor of English at Kent State University in Ohio, is the author or editor of many books, including Richard Wright and Racial Discourse; Critical Essays on Richard Wright; Haiku: This Other World by Richard Wright; and The City in African-American Literature.
