Summary

Gillian Adler (Ph.D., University of California, Los Angeles), Assistant Professor and Esther Raushenbush Chair in Humanities at Sarah Lawrence College, has written a literary and philosophical study of time in the works of Chaucer. She argues that “Chaucer employs not only discourses of time, but also the temporality of poetic form to explore the ethics of time” (16).
