This study investigates strategies and dimensions of narrative address, specifically apostrophe with the pronoun du, across late medieval (late thirteenth through sixteenth centuries) religious epic, prayers, devotional literature, and religious lyrics. Vom Du erzählen is a revised dissertation with typical structural markers of the genre. Six chapters cover methodological considerations and literature reviews, the text corpus, narratological approaches, the context and function of the narrative du-address, narratively embedded apostrophe, and a conclusion.
