Michel Hébert, renowned scholar of the county of Provence, has spent his career studying materials relating to this region, the kings of Sicily who ruled it, and the Angevin rulers who took it over. His expertise began with his article “Guerre, finances et administration: les États de Provence de novembre 1359,” published in Le Moyen Âge 83 (1977); he brings his career’s work together with Supplier le prince (1382–1460).
