203 Romanas Vasiliauskas Role of ethnical Education as the Continuity of Generations regarding the Paradigm of historical Changes in Culture Introduction: In order to reveal the peculiarities of the development of interac- tion between the personality and culture, it is necessary to study the internal and external factors of human development – the constantly changing educational cultural environment. Each period sets distinctive requirements for the young generation; the economic, social and ethnical conditions are changing, which af- fect the child’s maturation in culture. In such a way the culture is open to con- stant changes. The necessity for continuity of culture is especially evident when our society goes from the planned economics to the market economics, from the authoritarian relations to the democratic ones. The process of modernization is affected by globalization that covers more and more new life areas, without leaving the education and training practice of youth and children. As the global economic and social integration is rapidly growing, the globalization acquires wider dimension and as it absolutes the material welfare, it rejects the histori- cally formed original heritage of the national culture. As Lithuania is getting in- tegrated into the European economic structures, it is topical to preserve own mentality and not to “melt” into the cultures of other nations.
