Die seit 1995 bestehende Reihe Musiliana ist das international wichtigste Forum für Publikationen zum Leben, zum Werk, zur Wirkung und zum literarischen Umfeld des bedeutenden österreichischen Schriftstellers Robert Musil (1880-1942). In der Reihe erscheinen in regelmässigen Abständen Monographien, Sammelbände, Kongressakten und Editionen in verschiedenen Sprachen. Sie ist ebenso offen für biographische und literaturwissenschaftliche wie auch für kulturgeschichtliche und linguistische Arbeiten zur deutschsprachigen Literatur des XX. Jahrhunderts im Umfeld Robert Musils.

Varia Musicologica

The series „Varia Musicologica" treats a wide range of subjects from all fields of musicology. The editions, monographs and collections present the latest research from the music of the Middle Ages to new forms of music culture and adapt historical, cultural-historical, musical-aesthetic, biographical, analytical or source-critical methods. The volumes are presented in the languages English, German, French and Italian. Die Reihe «Varia Musicologica» ist als breit angelegtes Medium für vorwiegend monographische Arbeiten aus allen Feldern der Musikwissenschaft konzipiert. Die Bände erscheinen in freier Folge in den vier Sprachen Englisch, Deutsch, Französisch und Italienisch. Sie präsentieren neueste Forschungen von der Musik des Mittelalters bis zu neuen Formen von Musikkultur und gehorchen dabei historischen, kulturhistorischen, musikästhetischen, biographischen, analytischen oder quellenkritischen Methoden.

Mémoires de l'Europe en devenir

« Mémoires de l’Europe en devenir » est une collection consacrée à mettre en valeur la mémoire historique de la construction européenne afin de contribuer à une meilleure compréhension, par les citoyens de l’Europe nouvelle, des valeurs, des buts et des processus de leur devenir commun. Elle comprend quatre catégories d’ouvrages : des biographies, mémoires personnelles et portraits des « Acteurs » qui se sont engagés personnellement pour contribuer à l’histoire de la nouvelle Europe ; des analyses des « Événements » qui ont orienté l’avenir et changé le cours des choses ; des récits de la conception, du développement et des réalisations des « Institutions et Associations » qui ont participé à transformer les mentalités et à la prise de conscience d’une citoyenneté européenne ; et finalement des présentations et analyses des « Thèmes » qui ont marqué l’évolution originale de la société européenne pour la conduire sur des voies nouvelles. Mit der Buchreihe “Gesellschaft und Erziehung“ wollen die Herausgeber vor allem einen Beitrag zur historisch-systematischen Darstellung und Analyse des erziehungswissenschaftlichen Denkens in der DDR leisten. Die Reihe hält sich für unterschiedliche Problem- und Analyseperspektiven offen und schließt biographische und methodisch unterschiedliche Zugänge zu aktuellen Problemlagen der Erziehungswissenschaft ein. Die Herausgeber waren vor 1990 an der Akademie der Pädagogischen Wissenschaften der DDR tätig und wirkten nach 1990 in erziehungswissenschaftlichen und bildungshistorischen Forschungsprojekten an verschiedenen Universitäten. The series Sources and Studies in Music History from Antiquity to the Present treats a wide range of musicological subjects from antiquity to the present day. There are editions of unknown or forgotten musical sources, biographies of composers, monographs, collections of articles and lectures. Its intention is to promote the dialogue between historical, comparative, and interdisciplinary studies, including recent developments in musicology and musical theory. Die Reihe Quellen und Studien zur Musikgeschichte von der Antike bis in die Gegenwart beschäftigt sich mit einer großen Bandbreite von musikwissenschaftlichen Themen von der Antike bis in die neueste Zeit. Hier erscheinen Quelleneditionen unbekannter oder vergessener Musikwerke, Komponistenbiographien und Monographien sowie Schriften und Vorträge. Die Reihe nimmt aber auch epochenübergreifende und interdisziplinäre Entwicklungen zum Anlass für vergleichende Studien. Ebenso werden aktuelle Entwicklungen der Musikwissenschaft und Musiktheorie als Forschungsfeld aufgegriffen.

Studies in Life Writing

Studies in Life Writing: Biography, Autobiography, Memoir welcomes full-length studies of life writing in all its forms: biography, autobiography, memoir, journals, diaries, blogs, and so forth. Dovetailing nicely with the critical theories of the later twentieth century, life writing questions the divide between fact and fiction, challenges the possibility of presenting a life objectively, and examines how the shaping forces of language and memory prohibits any simple attempts at truth and reference. Provocatively, interest in life writing has increased as both autobiographical and biographical narratives have become a major presence on the Internet, and the growth of literary nonfiction has prompted a resurgence of life narratives and memoirs. The series invites both single-authored book-length studies and multi-authored essay collections on the theory and/or pedagogy of life writing.

Diplomatie et histoire

Fondée en 1998 par la Direction des Archives du ministère français des Affaires étrangères, la collection « Diplomatie et Histoire » a vocation à publier des ouvrages traitant des relations internationales ; elle accueille ainsi largement les travaux de jeunes chercheurs ayant utilisé les ressources documentaires des fonds d’’archives diplomatiques. La collection couvre un large spectre typologique –– étude des relations bilatérales, biographies, édition de textes – et chronologique du Moyen-Âge à la seconde moitié du XXe siècle. Histoire des Échanges, Communications, Postes et Territoires / History of the Exchanges, Communications, Post Offices and Territories

The Postal Service, guardian of a French-styled public service, has become, under the influence of Europe, a universal service, and by its history and by its roots in its environment, presents an opportunity to reflect on the manner in which traditional and contemporary societies have resolved the issues of communication, exchanges and control of territories. Thanks to the Committee for the history of the Post-Office, researchers in the humanities and social sciences have been allowed to reflect on its past and to shed light on the changes in the societies linked within its network. Thus, now active for nearly two decades, the committee has encouraged and promoted research on the Postal Service, its «tools/instruments» of exchanges, its diplomatic agents, its politics, economy, culture and even its land settlements, without forgetting its legislative and legal aspects. This series brings together work – doctorates, acts of symposia, biographies, testimonials – in French and in English, that specifically deal with the Post-Office and, more broadly, of the problems of commerce, communications and the control of territories. It is a platform for critical analyses of a world in perpetual motion. All the publications in this collection are subject to double peer review. Gardienne d’un service public à la française devenu, sous l’influence de l’Europe, un service universel, la Poste, par son histoire et par son ancrage dans son environnement, permet de réfléchir sur la façon dont les sociétés traditionnelles et contemporaines ont résolu les questions de communication, d’échanges et de maîtrise des territoires. Grâce au Comité pour l’Histoire de la Poste, il est donné aux chercheurs en sciences humaines et sociales à réfléchir sur son passé et à éclairer les mutations des sociétés qu’elle relie grâce à son réseau. Ainsi, actif depuis plus de deux décennies, le comité suscite et encourage les recherches sur les Postes, « outils/instruments » d’échanges, et aussi agent de la diplomatie, de la politique, de l’économie, de la culture ou encore de l’aménagement des territoires, sans oublier les aspects législatifs et juridiques.
