The Role of Professional Vitality in the Relationship Between Organizational Trust and Career Satisfaction
In recent years, the health of employees is highly emphasized, as it is considered that it will directly affect the performance of the labor force. The health of the employees affects their productive use of physical capacity and their vitality (Strijk et al., 2013: 66). In addition, health and vitality of the employees make them feel more energetic, stronger and more sufficient by revealing a reducing effect on the sense of fatigue, and an increasing effect on their psychological strength, determination towards work and their diligence. (Schaufeli W. & Bakker A. (2003)2003: 5). The first research on the vitality of employees was made in early 1960s. When we look at the researches made in this period and after that, it is seen that researches are carried out in terms of subjective vitality and these researches are concentrated on academicians. However, in the 2000s, the studies continued with vitality variable in working life (professional vitality), as well as the research on vitality from a subjective perspective (Aydınlı Kulak, 2016: 228).
Professional vitality has attracted more attention of researchers in the last few years in organizational behavior literature because of the positive results of the organizational outcomes.
