In this volume, it is constructed by authors from various scientific disciplines and very different cultures. The Festschrift is dedicated to the founder of this philosophical approach, Professor Dr. Friedrich Wallner (University of Vienna), in celebration of his 70 th birthday.

I.  Introduction

During the seminar Vienna School and contemporary Philosophy of science seminar, hold in 1994 at Beijing Capital Xindadu Hotel, Prof. Fritz Wallner did an excellent report, and from then on, Constructive Realism of New Vienna School became familiar to Chinese scholars. More and more introductions and researches about prof. Fritz Wallner’s theory has emerged ever since. Constructive Realism theory began to propagate in China thanks to Xianghong Wu who is from China Mainland translated and published Prof. Wallner’s book Constructive Realism in 1996, and Taiwan had similar publishment latter translated by Ronglin Wang in 1997. As far as statistics are concerned, there are 1,832 essays we can find from China National Knowledge Infrastructure which must have been an impressive number even compared to any other places in the world.
