Within the framework of the “Pfalzenrepertorium,” which is repeatedly described as one of the most important long-term projects in German Medieval Studies, the second volume on the royal palaces in Old Bavaria is now available. The death of Rudolf Schieffer (Bonn) in 2018, who had made a special effort to organize this volume of sources of the Bavarian royal palaces, occurred during the preparation of this volume.
