Acknowledgments
By the Grace of Allah, my fourth international book, on an extremely important subject is before you. I bow my head Before Allah Almighty for His Countless Blessings upon me during the entire period of this research. The purpose of writing on the subject is to reemphasize the need to avoid wars and conflicts, particularly between the Unequal Military Powers (UMPs) where the stronger states cause deaths and destruction in the relatively weaker states.
I am indebted to all academics, and practitioners from military, diplomatic, and civilian bureaucracy, whose talks, lectures, and writings have benefitted me immensely in shaping my research on this most compelling subject. An effort has been made to acknowledge and refer to their work appropriately; however, if any idea or work is not referred to properly, I would seek guidance to make suitable corrections. Some of the ideas presented in this book may have been published in my weekly columns in Daily Times, Pakistan, and/or in my earlier publications while this book was under review, however, the same has been referred, to wherever needed.
I am also grateful to Peter Lang for their continued support in the completion of this important project. The idea is to generate discussions, deliberations, and awareness, and contribute to averting the next war, particularly against the relatively smaller and weaker states.
Once again, many thanks to all my family members for supporting me in my academic endeavors.
