Acknowledgements
This publication has been produced by the different members of the Diversity and Migration Labs of the Forthem Alliance. This European project began its first phase during 1 September 2019 until 30 October 2022 and was financially supported by the Erasmus+ programme (612489-EPP-1-2019-1-DE-EPPKA2-EUR-Univ). The second phase started on 1 November 2022 and will last until 30 October 2026 (101089463-Erasmus-EDU-2022-EUR-Univ). In this case, this second phase includes a new type of inter-institutional co-operation in the framework of the KA131 higher education action which aims to promote the internationalisation of students.
Therefore, we would like to thank to all of the university lecturers and students from the Forthem Alliance participating in the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) Intersectional Approach Research on Diversity and Migration Narratives that took place in June 2023 at the Universitat de València (Spain). We also extend our sincere thanks to the migrants who have generously participated by sharing their life experiences throughout the different training modules.
Finally, we would like to thank especially to the lecturers and PhD students of the Forthem Diversity and Migration Lab at the Universitat de València, who contributed their valuable knowledge on this subject matter and actively collaborated in the achievement of both the hybrid training course and the present publication.
Prologue
In the quiet hum of academic halls and the bustling energy of multicultural urban landscapes, there exists an ever-present narrative, often overlooked and underappreciated. This narrative threads through the lives of individuals and communities, weaving a complex tapestry of identity, belonging and transformation. It is a narrative of diversity and migration, one that speaks to the essence of human experience across boundaries, cultures and histories.
